New cone, who dis?

Today Ziggy had his 3rd dose of the melanoma vaccine and tomorrow he has his 1 week check up for his big surgery. Still waiting on the biopsy results🤞 by @ziggythemann

Ziggy looks a bit different right now. Due to shaving required for his surgery he is missing fur on half his face. To be honest, I was a bit nervous about sharing this, because the internet can be cruel but I am trusting you all to continue to love Ziggy as you always have. He is still perfect to me. I am just so happy to have him home recovering from this intense surgery. My home is so quiet and sad without him there. I love him so much. by @ziggythemann

Soaking up the last moments of summer with Ziggy…

In all honesty, a lot of this summer was a nightmare. By numbers Ziggy had 2 surgeries, 1 spleen removed, 3 seperate masses removed and biopsied, 4 weeks of nervously waiting for biopsy results, 2 teeth removed, 3 times under anesthesia, over 10 vet visits, 2 weeks of bedrest, 4 weeks in a cone, and a cancer diagnosis to bring with us into the fall. Still we did our best to enjoy the sunshine, spend time with my family in Connecticut and remain thankful for every day together. I’ve stopped taking my time with Ziggy for granted. I feel optimistic that we will have at least another summer together, but if we had not found the mass in his spleen or his cancer in his mouth this could have very well been his last. As we head towards his surgery tomorrow, I was so grafeful to enjoy a last summer morning with him in CT. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I know today was magical. by @ziggythemann

Day by day…

I wanted to share a quick update and a summary. Ziggy has been my priority over these last few weeks so I haven’t posted much. Now that I finally feel like I have a handle on his next steps, I will start filling you in. Even with my amazing support system, figuring all this out alone is overwhelming, emotionally draining and isolating. I am so grateful for the guidance of my cousin Dr. @abbyg615 I don’t know what I would do without her. Let me know any questions you have in the comments, as I will try to address them in future videos. by @ziggythemann

Happy National Dog Day from Ziggy!!

We have been busy with vet appointments, trying to get the best understanding of his cancer and make a treatment plan. I will try to film an update soon. For now, here is Ziggy being his sweet self. Cancer can’t bring him down! by @ziggythemann
