A quick and much needed getaway to Laguna Beach. Life has been a whirlwind since Fall into Books Fest two weekends ago.

I'm deep into edits for Book 2. My day job threw me for some unexpected loops, and since I'm taken in Laguna Beach, California by @zilphiabluewrites

Saturday was so much fun. Fall into Books Fest was a blast. It was a place to meet new people and connect with folks IRL.
I was surprised by friends and family who stopped by to support my first author signing. 😍

I learned a lot. Including that I can still feel like an awkward middle school kid trying to get the courage to say hi to the cool kids. 😆 😆😆

I was still riding the excitement yesterday, and it was back to finishing up book 2 today. Back to my day job tomorrow 😲. by @zilphiabluewrites

After the roller coaster of a week I had it's hard to believe that @fallintobooksfest is tomorrow.

I'm so excited to meet many of these folks for the first time in person. It's such a supportive community and I know the event is going to be full of positive vibes.

The hail Mary pass worked and the books made it in today. It's only half of what I planned but it's better than no books!

I am soooo grateful to this community for the support and help. From the tangible problem solving to all the positive vibes.

I love this community! Thank you to everyone who sent messages. Your support was exactly what I needed to get out of the funk and back to solution mode.

A few private messages and a hail Mary pass (that's a football term I'm told) and ...fingers crossed... I should ...might...have a few paperback copies of my book on hand to sign for Saturday's Fall into Books Fest. A big thank you to @ajwynnwrites for coming in clutch!

I have a few other things up my sleeve. I won't have as many books to sign as I had planned, so I'm adding little gifties for digital purchases if you swing by my booth and show me. And fingers crossed, special Fall into Books Fest 2025 book plates for Lost: The Other Realm (Book 1) should be arriving just in time to have on hand for the signing. (I hope I spelled everything right- eeee.)

So if you don't get to pick up a physical copy from me, but want to purchase one online to be shipped to you- I can give you all the goodies to go with it while we're there.

Otherwise just come by my table and say hi!

Poop.
Sorry for the strong language, but I'm feeling beat up. The books I ordered for FIBF that were supposed to arrive tomorrow now have an arrival date of Sept 25.

I'm devastated.

Fate conspiring against me? Rookie mistake? I don't know, but I'm' feeling both stupid and ticked off. My least favorite combo.

My hype team (a.k.a. Mr. ZB and oldest child) is helping me come up with an alternate plan so I have something to sign at the event. When I calm down I'll be able to listen to their excellent ideas.

I almost gave up on my sewing machine, convinced I'd forgotten all my years of sewing 😆. The table runner was heat bond tape which scared the machine into submission and I was able to knock out my table cloth in no time. Just a little something to give my table personality.

Whew. One more thing off the list!
