Provincials resulted in...two seperate days of lifting and two new medals to the collection!!!

Not going to bore everyone with the details, but what an amazing weekend.

Absolutely fun meet today! Even with the delay, Westerns Saskatoon, you were awesome.

Before I talk about the meet itself, I want to thank everyone who took the time to message and support me today and throughout this prep.

Mentally it was hard because of the torn lat and shoulder (slide 3) I received back in February, the injury is still fresh and the doctors told me to not work out for 6 months. Instead I used that time to prep for westerns, because why not.

Being injured is not fun and add cutting 5kg in 5 weeks did not help either. Add a gut cut and water cut on top of the above issues and we having a ton of fun waiting to happen 😊 I picked up a cold / fever on Saturday the week of the meet and felt like absolute dog going into the meet. But only Emily knew about this, but my coughs definitely gave it away.

Nanaimo was fun.
This was the funniest "prep" I've ever done
10/10 would do it again.
I can finally say I hit three reds on the platform (yes with clips)

Powerlifting comeback meet: After 5 years, we are back! Got first, thanks to the handling of team #dld @deadlift_drew and @frayzaa_ . Had to do a water / gut cut and went from 96kg to 91kg in a week and a half just to make weight...Numbers did not go as planned but I'll take a dub anyday. All of my competition was fierce so respect to them! Cant wait to see y'all kill it 😎

It was lovely seeing some old friends again and I can't wait to compete with you guys again @jcrew604 and @kvnbanunu and off start reffing as well 🔴⚪

Attempted another degree of sorts 😄 if anyone can guess what school I just graded from lmk 😂 answer will be on the letting page

Vietnam Highlights:

- A boat ride in Tam Coc where we went through many caves
- Visiting 2 Michelin restaurants in HCM
- Exploring each floor of Cafe Apartments (there were 8 and I walked up each flight because I didn’t want to pay for the elevator)
- Putting the wrong address on Grab, then having to walk another 10 minutes (this happened multiple times)
- My sleeve
- Spending $100 on claw machines only to win 2 keychains, but then being gifted 2 large plushies as we were leaving because the staff felt bad
- Viet hot pot with his extended family
- Food that costs less than a Starbucks coffee
- Real life Crossy road
- Bargaining on my own while Zimmy get’s his tattoo
- Buying a lot more things than I expected

…just to name a few. Vietnam will always have my heart and I’m already looking forward to the next time we go back 💕
