What happens when one organism disappears from a food web?

Unaiza Ata, a B.Ed. graduate of GECE Hussainabad (managed by Durbeen), taught her Grade 5 Science students to construct and defend food web models using scientific evidence.

They then explored how changes in one organism’s population could affect other species and disrupt the wider ecosystem. Through model-based inquiry, students developed scientific reasoning and critical thinking.

The AGI Denim team visited a @zindagitrust school to gain firsthand insight into its work to transform government education and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The visit offered a look at an educational environment where learning goes beyond the classroom, encouraging students to think independently, express their creativity and develop skills that prepare them for the future.

As part of AGI Denim’s continued focus on education and youth development, the visit provided a valuable opportunity to understand Zindagi Trust’s work and consider how a future partnership could contribute to creating meaningful learning opportunities.

Learning about recycling is just the beginning. Taking action is what makes the difference!

After attending an awareness session by @wwfpak , our students are putting their learning into practice by collecting used beverage cartons and placing them in designated recycling bins as part of the recycling awareness drive with WWF Pakistan and Tetra Pak.

Because a better future begins with the choices we make today.

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." Benjamin Franklin

Connecting classroom learning directly to their everyday life experiences, Grade 1 students identified and discussed the various rules they follow at home and in school. Through collaborative strategies like Think-Pair-Share, students analyzed picture prompts, categorized them into home and school rules, and applied critical thinking and reasoning to explain why rules are essential for safety and fairness.

Guided by their teacher, Alveena Aijaz—a B.Ed. graduate from GECE Hussainabad (managed by Durbeen) posted at a Zindagi Trust adopted school—students were empowered to think and perform both independently and in pairs through strategic questioning and an active, student-centered approach. by @zindagitrust

When students learn from one another, the lessons go beyond the classroom.

Zindagi Trust and @kdsp_adownsyndromeorganisation are bringing students together through shared creative experiences and opportunities to discover new perspectives.

Here’s to building connections that make learning richer for everyone.

“A teacher should not be syllabus-centred, but child-centred.”

For Javeria Jameel, four years at GECE, Hussainabad shaped an approach to teaching that goes beyond lessons and textbooks. Today, as a teacher at a Zindagi Trust adopted government school, she understands that every child learns differently and at their own pace.

Because good teaching begins with understanding the child.

Behind every step towards better education are the people who make it possible.

The All Staff Gala celebrated the dedication and hard work of the teaching and non-teaching staff at Zindagi Trust’s adopted schools, recognizing the people who work every day to make a difference in children’s lives.

Because meaningful change begins with the people who make it happen.
