Football is teaching Zion that it’s bigger than touchdowns.

It’s teaching him how to handle adversity when things don’t go his way. How to stay disciplined when nobody is watching. How to keep showing up when the results aren’t coming. How to celebrate his teammates even when he wishes it was his moment. How to take coaching, learn from mistakes, and come back better.

Football is teaching him patience. Confidence. Accountability. Resilience.

And most importantly… it’s teaching him that you don’t have to score every game to make an impact.

This game is building more than a football player. It’s building a young man.

My favorite football player 🤍

I read something that said 'the biggest adversity to overcome is to keep going while things arent going your way'

The adversity was real. I know there were moments Zion wondered when his opportunity would come. But we kept telling him: BE PATIENT. YOUR TIME IS COMING.

And through those 4 weeks, he never stopped being a great teammate. He celebrated his brothers. Kept his head up. Kept good body language. Kept working. Kept playing hard. Even when he was frustrated, he stayed locked in.

Then Week 5 came against Stampede .. and he finally got his moment! He could of folded and not play after throwing up during halftime, but he had that grit!

That touchdown meant more than just 6 points. It was a reminder that sometimes you have to trust the process when you can’t see the outcome yet.

Patience. Perseverance. Preparation.

Keep working, Z. Your moment will always come!
