What a Weekend for Team APEX! 🐅

The Apex Kickboxing Team stepped onto one of amateur kickboxing’s biggest stages at the IKF World Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada - and delivered!

7 wins in 8 bouts 🔥
5 divison championships 🏆
Invaluable experience against elite competition ⚔️

Mukhtar “Wolf” Shirzad earned a dominant unanimous decision victory. 🐺

Cole “Blooded” Fister won his full rules Muay Thai debut and captured the division. 🩸

Zion “Chephir” Bailey earned a dominant unanimous decision victory. ☯️

Brandon “The Cannon” Gibbs battled through three hard rounds winning a unanimous decision. 💪

Isaac “Pitbull” Crowder went 1-1 earning an impressive TKO before competing in a very close fight for the belt. 🐶

Luther “Gato” Williams finished a perfect 2-0 with a second round TKO for the division. 🐈‍⬛

Every Fighter represented Apex Martial Arts with heart, discipline, skill, and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of this team and grateful to everyone who helped make this weekend possible.

Winning this fight without actually fighting felt like having paint and a brush with no canvas. It was kind of humbling.. but with the canvas gone, I saw the beauty in the life that I am surrounded by.

The trip itself was fun, it was nice to get closer to my teammates and my people. Tennessee was dope and the people are talented and beautiful.

I pray for my opponents safety, health, and well being & I am thankful to be reminded to be compassionate

Wish I could’ve shown the people in Tennessee who Zion the fighter is but stay tuned and when the opportunity comes I will be ready by @zionchephir

Welterweight Modified Muay Thai Champion and IKF Super Middleweight Tournament Champion…
Team Apex went 2-for-3 tonight, bringing home two titles and gaining even more valuable experience.

Mak faced a very tough opponent and came up short on the decision, but he fought hard and continues to show incredible growth every time out.

After a long layoff, Cole got back in the ring and made a statement with a TKO victory. He looked relaxed, tactical, and in complete control.

Zion went five hard rounds against a tough opponent and showed exactly what champions are made of—calm, calculated, and determined from start to finish. He is now the IKF Unified Rules Welterweight Champion and the IKF Modified Muay Thai Welterweight Champion.

Next stop: Nashville, TN on May 8, where Zion and Cole will both be fighting for IKF titles.

Proud is an understatement.

WKA US Nationals

Zion Bailey got the win in his first fight and came up just short in a razor-close split decision in the second. Proved to himself that he can compete with the best fighters.
