I have been experiencing and intense influx of healing.

And that healing requires remembering and sitting with the pain of the wickedness of men.

But it hurts a little less sitting in these places with the Lord. by @zipporahfeb7

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,
is when I carried you.”

Long journeys to hear His voice and process what noisey life and distractions keeps me deaf too.

A year and a half ago, I fell to my knees in despair after returning to my property and it being burgled with 10s of thounds of dollars taken. Amongst the items was money I had put away, some of which was promised to my niece and nephew to take them to their dream place, The Great Barrier Reef.

A year and a half later, I rejoice at in the beauty of God and His creation as He restored and renewed all that was lost!!! Making our dreams come true!

The Lord said “I will give you back what you lost"

To live a life so blessed because...

'God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life'

In 2018, I sat by the shore and listened to the waves as I wrote 'I will reminsce on what it was like to fly, before life took away my wings'.

In 2026, I sat by the shore once more, listened to the waves and this time smiled, knowing God has restored all that I once lost.

1 Peter 5:10- 'And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.'

This morning I was feeling moments of disappointment and self condemnation for not showing up over the weekend for fellowship and new opportunities. I chose to rest and wait on God.

This morning, as I sat in a new place, I saw this female Cairns Birdwing butterfly freshly emerged from her place of rest and waiting.

In that moment I was reminded that His mercies are new everyday and sometimes resting and waiting is how he transforms us.

'The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.'

- Lamentations 3:22-23

They shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever they do shall prosper.

- Psalm 1:3
