"Mother of Female-Kind"

A visard is a black velvet oval mask worn by women in the 16th and 17th centuries. It had no straps, instead, it had a bead that you would bite onto to hold the mask up. Biting the bead meant the wearer could not speak while wearing the mask.
The mask was meant to "protect her from sunburn."

"Mom, whats the meaning of life?"

I apologize for the censorship, I dont want instagram to end up taking my artwork down.

The red words represent Ped*philic terms we use to describe women, unfortunately I ended up censoring almost all of them.

The red thread goes hand in hand with the red words, representing the patriarchy, its ped*philic roots, and how theyre instilled into us at a young age.

You can see one of her legs is tied to the other one rather than being pulled by someone else's hand. It gives her a sense of control. She may be able to control it but her legs are still tied together, she can only go so far before the thread stops her.

Aren't the red bows so very feminine?
Shes beautiful.
