Last weekend was one I’ll never forget 🥹

Ash and I took our first-ever Daddy and Son trip to my hometown, St. Louis, and had a BLAST from the flight there to the moment we flew home.

Nothing makes me smile more than seeing Ash play with my side of the family. But this trip was different… instead of racing around, trying to cram as much into a few days as possible, we just got to sit back and chill. We were able to just relax, catch up, and be in the moment with those we love most 😊

I couldn’t help but tear up hearing Ash tell everyone how much fun he had as he hugged them goodbye.

He made sure to promise them all that, next time, we’re bringing Mommy and Emmitt with us 🤗

Bre. I can’t believe today marks our 10-year wedding anniversary! I’m so proud of the woman, wife, and mother you’ve become. I’m honored that I get to do life with you, and thankful for all the support and love we’ve given each other this past decade.

That young, bright-eyed couple who were just starting this journey together back in Lombard ten years ago would be immensely proud of where we are today… I know I am!

As the wise Hannah Montana once said: “Life’s what you make it, so let’s make it rock!” 🎸

The past several months have been hectic for me. Being a young entrepreneur with a family isn’t for the faint of heart, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

In fact, to ensure I can give my businesses the time they need to grow and still provide for my family, I’ve taken another job—meaning I’m currently balancing three different careers, and here’s how all three of them are filling my cup:

1. Fast & Focus — I get to go on a journey with my clients. I guide them in my areas of expertise, then learn and grow with them in areas I’m still learning. Instead of being a know-it-all coach that drags his clients along with him (“my way or the highway”), I get to walk alongside them and witness their incredible life change.

1. JOLT Story & Content Solutions — Writing has always been my first love. JOLT has given me the honor of working with some awesome people and companies, hearing their stories, learning from their experiences, then helping them share both with the world.

1. Watermark Design Build Salesman — I knew VERY little about construction/remodeling before these past few months with Watermark, but always had an interest to learn about it. Becoming a Salesman for WDB has challenged me to learn a new industry, new process, and new skillset, all while doing what I enjoy most about my career: building relationships with cool people!

Balancing these positions while raising a family has forced me to let things play out at their own speed, but isn’t that kind the point?

I’ve been guilty of being impatient when the money, opportunity, or event didn’t happen as quickly as I’d hoped it would. God is teaching me to let go of that.

Don’t make your life solely about chasing the things you don’t have yet. Instead, make it mostly about enjoying those you DO have.

Life is what you make it. So make it count. Make it matter. Make it ROCK. 🤘 by @zmathews7
