Just finished my first triathlon ever. Went straight for an Ironman 70.3. I taught myself to swim, bought my first bike, and started running long distances. Trained through Step One, pushed through Ramadan, and got sick just days before the race. But I still showed up. S/o to everyone who supported me throughout this journey, to those tracking me from back home, and to my dawgs who came out to Oceanside, Cali to watch me finish. Anything you commit to is possible, even when you can’t see yourself doing it. …. We ain’t done yet 🏁 taken in Oceanside, California by @zmo.zzz

Once one of Damascus’s oldest neighborhoods. Five years of siege, tunnels, and airstrikes later, Jobar-isn’t a place people live. It’s a place people return to and find nothing.

Jobar Syria one of the most horrific histories. Sad to say it’s one that I had no clue about. Working to fill the gaps.
