My favourite part of creating new work for my exhibition was putting any tech down for a couple weeks and relying solely on traditional materials. For this piece I wanted to capture the desaturated landscape of a freezing cold day, whilst including a little of the magical warmth of winter.

The exhibition is on until Thursday at @arthurscoffeehouseco

I’m so excited to finally have another tea towel out in collaboration with the best deli in London, @culverandnelson 🌶️

Featuring hand drawn illustrations of the finest produce around at the moment, the tea towel is available to pre order now (link in bio) and will be in store in September.

Big thank you to everyone who has supported the tea towels so far, I’m really pleased to have another other one to add to the collection, and to be stocked in such a beautiful shop.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: @zoeellison__

Here at Elena Essex we are proud to support women artists and share their beautiful artwork on our puzzles! Our Artist Spotlight is a way for us to introduce the artists we have grown to know and love, as well as show our appreciation for the contribution they have given our puzzles and the puzzle community.

Our next spotlight features one of the most talented of artists, @zoeellison__ , who created several favorites like Market Day and Park Day! She is also the artist behind our new Autumn puzzle: Trick or Treat. 🎃

Zoë Ellison is an illustrator specialising in children’s books, food, and puzzles. Living in London, she loves to explore the magic in the ordinary day-to-day, and capture the atmosphere of a special place or moment. Working in coloured pencils, inks, pens and her iPad, Zoë loves experimenting with textures, finding happy accidents, and adding detail to every corner of her work.
She studied at Cambridge School of Art, graduating with an MA in Children’s Book Illustration in 2020.

My third jigsaw puzzle with Elena Essex is out soon! Always such a joy to work on a puzzle, and I had a lot of fun coming up with all the costumes and characters, full of inspiration for my Halloween outfit this year. (Will probably just end up doing last minute terrible zombie makeup again)
