Watching the two of them makes me realise how quickly these little moments pass.

Today she gets to sit on his shoulders and see the world from up there. One day she’ll be too big for that, but hopefully she’ll always know that Dad is one of the people she can lean on, laugh with and come home to. 🤍

This morning was a beautiful reminder of the strength we carry within us, and the strength we find in one another 🤍💫

Together with the Creatory ladies, we spent the morning at the beautiful Vrede en Lust for a breathwork workshop with @buysanneke centred around knowing our worth, trusting ourselves and remembering that we are capable of more than we sometimes believe.

In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we had the privilege of hearing deeply moving stories of courage, resilience, hope and strength.

We shared space, connected as women and took a moment to pause, breathe and celebrate life together.

And just like that… my final campaign for The Blue Room 🥹🐛🌸🐞🦋🌺

Four and a half years. So many campaigns, late nights, early mornings, tight deadlines, last-minute changes, big wins, lessons, challenges and memories that I’ll carry with me long after this chapter ends.

Bugz & Blooms at Table Bay Mall was a pretty fitting way to close it all out. From the setup, to briefing the team, to watching everything come together and seeing the campaign come to life… one last time.

There’s something quite emotional about doing the thing you’ve done hundreds of times, knowing that this time, it’s the last.

The Blue Room has been such a big part of my career and my growth. I’ve learnt so much, been challenged in ways I didn’t expect, met incredible people and grown into a version of myself I’m really proud of.

So, this is me closing the laptop, packing up the last campaign and saying thank you 💙

Four and a half years. What a chapter.

Weekly @Checkers_sa shop on a R3K budget for our family of 5 🛒🍝🍓✨

Managed to come in about R200.00 under budget, which I’ll happily take!

This week’s shop covers:

5x dinners
5x breakfasts
5x lunch boxes for 3 kids
5x meal prep lunches (not shown in the video)
A few treats, because balance
Cleaning product top-ups + nappies

I’m trying to be a little more intentional with our grocery spending without making meals boring or feeling like we’re constantly cutting things out.

Now the real challenge… actually sticking to the meal plan all week. 😂

Celebrating 10 years with this man today, and 5 years married. 🤍

I’m so incredibly grateful that he chose me, and that we get to sit here today and look back on the last 10 years of our lives together.

Not every step has been easy. In fact, some of it has been incredibly challenging.

Growing up, I always thought that once you got married, somehow things just got easier. That the hard parts of building a relationship would eventually fade away. But I’ve learnt that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Marriage is daily work. It’s grace. It’s choosing each other over and over again. It’s learning to put aside your own ways for someone else, while still being authentically you and allowing the other person to be authentically them.

It’s understanding that one person may grow while the other is still finding their way, and knowing that’s okay. It’s showing up for one another and recognising that it isn’t always 50/50. Some days it’s 70/30, some days it’s 20/80, but somehow, together, you make one.

Marriage has been one of the most beautiful blessings of our lives, especially since we learnt to put God at the centre of it.

We tried doing it on our own… and let me just tell you, it’s not possible. 😂

Five years of marriage has been shaky, beautiful, exciting, challenging, messy, pure and so incredibly worth it.

And after 10 years of loving you, growing with you, learning you and choosing you, I’d choose you all over again.

Here’s to the next 40 years, my love. 🤍
