I'm sure yall haven't noticed but I've been a bit, well, non-existent on booksta. This sweet little angel might be the reason.
Meet Khaleesi, aka Khali. She's a sweet Miniature American Shepherd who recently joined our family.
Now that we've settled into our new routine, I'm hoping to get back to posting Refreshments with Writers and my reviews. I have so many ready to review and I'm so excited to share with you!

Good morning, yall!
Figured it's about time I introduce the face behind my account!
My name is Zoe, I'm a lesbian woman in my twenties that works from home as an accountant.
•I am currently engaged and living with the woman of my dreams, we will be married this fall at my family's hobby farm🥰 We own a cute ol house that we are slowly working through renovating and updating.
•We have lots of pets that I fondly refer to as my reading buddies. Not pictured are my tarantulas, snake, and plants. I'm a crazy plant and animal lady.
•I'm chronically ill/have chronic pain. Fibromyalgia and chronic migraines. It's a good time🙃 I'm more than open to discussing my experiences with others.
•I will read just about anything and love supporting new and indie authors as much as possible. I'm a fair and generous reviewer and love offering my opinion and gentle critique as needed.
•Besides reading, I love to knit, cook, bake, care for the pets, go for walks, clean/organize, color, and spend time with my sweetie. I respectfully refer to myself as a fifties housewife due to my favorites/hobbies.

It’s my honor to introduce you to my street team (or my cult, as I like to call it)! When it was time to put together a street team, I was genuinely wondering if anyone would sign up at all lol but a bunch of super sweet humans have. Even more awesome is that we all come from different generations, different countries/continents and even have different taste in books. Definitely check out their accounts because all of them are authors, readers or both (and I know they’re good authors as I’ve read them all)🖤 taken in BOOKSTA by @zoeszeniths

Snow Bound by @janehenryauthor

Okay I'm mad because I had this whole caption written and then Insta disappeared it. So try x2, probably going to be less stellar but I'll do my best.

This was a great listen. The female narrator had a lovely voice to listen to - even tone, pacing, and great emotion. The male narrator did a very nice Irish accent for the MMC and his big, strong emotions came through ideally. They definitely made for an enjoyable listening experience.
The FMC is fresh out of an abusive relationship with a cheating ex and takes flight to a little cabin in the middle of a wintery forest to regroup and find herself. Along with finding herself, she finds her very first love who is determined to treat her like nobody ever has, in the best way.
The scenes were descriptively written and felt very winter-cozy. Made me want to curl under a blanket with a warm drink - even if it was 90* outside while I listened to it. There were a lot of tropes in this novel that aren't typical reads for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

An absolutely stunning conclusion to the Vials of Fate trilogy. I have been with this series since prior to the release of the first novel. There are so many unique elements to this series, from the dragon lore to the magic system.
The characters are real, strong, emotional, stubborn, and fiercely protective. Their storylines twist, turn, and go in waves - while a HEA is promised, myyyy god it sure doesn't seem like it sometimes. These complexities just add to the allure and realism of the main couple, however.
This novel ends the series with a bang. There are huge obstacles to overcome, events you aren't sure characters can come back from, and decisions that will shock readers.
Background characters become less so in this novel as we learn more about them and their roles become more defined and at the forefront of the plot.
I don't have enough good things to say about this series. I have been a huge fan of Catalina's work since day one and loved the whole series.

📚COVER REVEAL📚
Delighted to assist another dark sapphic work from the fabulous @authorkestrelmartin.
Edging Sanity is a sapphic (butch/femme) thriller that explores the relationship that blooms between a psych ward guard and the wards most dangerous patient- a notorious serial killer.
This cover and novel inspire feelings of darkness, manipulation, sketchy scenarios, and dangerous characters.
Keep a close eye out for its release!!
