ANA + YEK, 7 years in the making – and now in @bozarbrussels.

A part of this journey started in 2021 during the @halaqat_project residency, which gave us the time and space to explore the direction of our film. Bringing the finished film back here feels like coming full circle.

Endless gratitude to @sanaa.bnm, my twin sister, for her trust, love and honesty. You mean the world to me.

Lot's of love for our beloved cat, Lucie.

Romy Mana, this film wouldn’t exist without you. Looking forward to what’s next.

@heelisa_, producer of @mirage_be, thank you for believing in us as first-time filmmakers.

Special thanks to
@cinemaximiliaan for guiding us throughout the Halaqat residency.
@diren_agbaba for your patience, care and dedication.
Effi & Amir for coaching us at @soundimageculture

Our love goes to
@fairuz_solo, our editing coach. Thank you for supporting us from start to finish.

Big thanks to our incredible crew

Casting for PUTAIN.

Five years ago, I met writer and director @__deben on a night out in Brussels. The next day, we were sitting at the table, discussing the casting process. Finding our way through casting, collaborating, and riding an (emotional) rollercoaster—it’s been one hell of a journey. But also a beautiful one. So grateful to have assembled the cast of PUTAIN.

A huge thank you for trusting me with the cast
@__deben @free.daem @zwangere.guy @iristansia

Thank you for giving your all during the whole casting process and beyond
@liamjacqmin @felix_heremans @victoriadjamusala @lauradarnovsky Hind 🫶🏽

Thank you for being there with me from the start of this crazy journey
@camille.ghekiere

Thank you for guiding the workshops with me
@tijmengovaerts

Thank you for believing in me as a starting casting director and for giving us the space to do our thing
@panenkatv @kristoffelmertens @krisverschooten

Also, merci to all the young people in Brussels who joined our workshops—we haven’t forgotten you.
