BIG 30: THE SEED. LOOK 3

This is where it all began.
The little seeds, the dreams and the talks🥹

I designed and made shoes.
I made bags.
I embroidered.
I made beads and sold them.
I was always making something.

Looking back now, I realise the gold had already begun to brew. I just didn’t know what it would become yet. I still remember being in a secondary school and telling myself that I’ll one day own a fashion business.

Then life happened.

I went after other things. And did I love them? yes, most of them! I pursued what seemed practical. I followed different paths and became many versions of myself.

But this one dream?

It just wouldn’t fade away.

Years later, here I am.

Doing the very thing that little girl dreamed about.

And maybe that’s what this season means to me most.

Not that I suddenly became someone new.

But that I finally came back to something that had been in me all along.

The seed was planted early.

My 20s were about discovering it.

My 30s are about bringing it into full view.

But none of this would have ever been possible if not for my God, the one that owns my life and my every chapter, the one that has kept me through the fire and thickest storms. Thank you lord for the most beautiful 30 years here on earth ❤️❤️❤️. October babies forgive me 🙏🏽😭😂

BIG 30 continued.

For my 30th birthday, I decided to design three looks to represent three major phases of my life.

Not just what I wore, but who I was morphed into in each season.
The first look (gold outfit represents my golden era), would talk about that in detail later.

THE 20’s

My 20s were colourful.

Playful. Experimental. Full of life, mistakes, firsts, discoveries and self discovery.

It was the decade where I was meeting people, falling in love, building friendships, loosing friendships, making decisions, making some wrong ones, learning, starting again and slowly discovering who I actually was.

It was the budding stage. The years of being young, ambitious and willing to try. The years where you make your first mistakes as an adult and realise that some of them become your greatest teachers.

My 20s gave me practical wisdom. They opened my eyes.
And somewhere in all that experimenting, learning and trying, ran back to my first love; fashion.

This look represents that part of me. Playful, Experimental, a little imperfect, and beautifully unfinished. Because my 20s were not about having everything figured out; They were about discovering what had always been there,

This look is playful, layered and imperfect in the most beautiful way because that’s how my 20s felt.
