Did a thing at @bangkokcommunityradio last week.

After diving into soulful, deep and smooth house the night before, I had that itch to switch gears and lean into a faster tempo with off-kilter rhythms and grooves for this one. It felt good to let the set breathe in a different direction and explore another side of the sounds I love

Zokhuma x Piknik —  The morning of the shoot was grey and rain-soaked — the kind of weather that mirrors your inner world in all the right ways. On the drive over, I built a playlist of 40 tracks — songs I’d want to hear in the rain, some even named after it. Every note chosen to soundtrack the stillness, the melancholy, the beauty.

We were a bit worried about how we’d shoot, the drizzle kept us waiting. But then, as if on cue, the rain paused — and I pressed play. It felt like the skies held their breath just long enough for the music to do what it needed to.

This mix is a deeply personal selection — fragments of memory, nostalgia, and emotion. I hope you take the time to sit with it. Let it wash over you like the rain did that day.

EARTH TAPES | CCU | 10.10.26

We’re rolling out the first leg of @earthtapes_ parties, with Calcutta naturally being the first stop.

For the first edition, we’re taking things out of the regular confines of a nightclub and turning @theharringtonstreetartscentre into our canvas. As I also celebrate another year around the sun on the 10th, I’ll be joined by two dear friends @zokhuma and @deepbrownmusic , both of whom I’ve had the pleasure of going b2b on several occasions.

For me, Earth Tapes has always been as much about people as it is about music. Building community has been a primary motivation for me for as long as I can remember. Bringing together friends, artists and people I admire, and creating spaces where those relationships can develop naturally. These parties are simply an extension of that idea - taking what we’ve been building with the label into different cities, meeting people along the way, and creating something together without trying to overdefine what it needs to be.

Big love to my home slices @deepinstate_ and @herideas.inc for holding fort and helping bring this vision to life, and to @rags2932 for sharing this beautiful piece of heritage with us.

Can’t wait to see my city out for this. ♥️

Season 2 starts with a few familiar faces.

We’re back for our 11th outing on 20.09.2026 at @kadamba.in

@zokhuma and @yuvraajaroraa return to The Picnic after giving us two of our favourite sets from past outings.

Joining them is Hyderabad’s own @doris.the.sender who has been around, grooving and supporting The Picnic since our early days, and now joins us behind the decks.

Phase Ritual is one of the compilation’s more hypnotic tracks, built around repetition and a steady, consistent pulse. Layered electronic textures gradually shift throughout the arrangement, creating movement without relying on dramatic changes or obvious drops. Instead, the track builds its character through subtle changes in density and emphasis, keeping the listener locked into its rhythm. It feels designed for the later hours of the night, drawing you deeper into the groove rather than pushing for immediate impact.
