NARA WESTERN REGIONALS 2026

Zombie & I competed in R1 and finished 4th place with a score of 181/200

What a pleasure it was to be part of such an amazing trial competing with the best in the west coast and surrounded by so many people who share the same love for the sport.
This journey has not been easy at all, and Zombie is far from being an easy dog but I think that’s what has made this journey so memorable up to this point. All the struggles and days I felt like quitting definitely felt worth it on that field.
I am extremely greatful for what this dog has taught me and where he’s gotten me.

I couldn’t be here without the help and support of my peeps ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 yall know who you are.

@lerihanson thanks for being there every step of the way 🐐

@copperstateringclub thanks again for a phenomenal time and putting on such a great trial.

Thank you decoys for keeping all the dogs safe

FRENCH RING

Zombie and I earned our FR1 and boy did it take a Village!
Not only for him, but for me too…
I wanted to share with you guys what I have learned since deciding to switch over to French Ring from the previous sport I was doing.

French Ring is a sport that challenges you as a handler. It pushes you beyond your comfort zone, teaches you to strategize, and forces you to think ahead. But once you learn how to play the game, you learn how to thrive under pressure.

It’s a sport that will humble you just as quickly as it will build you. It exposes your weaknesses, tests your patience, and makes you take accountability for every decision you make on the field. There is always something to improve, something to rethink, and another level to reach.

You learn that success isn’t always about having the strongest or fastest dog, it’s about understanding the dog standing beside you. Learning their strengths, recognizing their weaknesses, building confidence where they need it, and becoming the handler they can trust when the pressure is on.

French Ring teaches you to adapt. To stay composed when things don’t go according to plan. To walk off the field, whether you won or lost, and ask yourself what you can do better next time.

Some days this sport will make you feel unstoppable, and other days it will completely humble you. There’s been plenty of days where I just wanted to quit, But that’s what makes the journey so rewarding.

You don’t just train the dog.

French Ring trains the handler, too!!

And somewhere between the failures, the breakthroughs, the pressure, and the small victories, you realize you’re becoming stronger together.

Learn the game. Trust your dog. Trust your training. Stay humble. Keep showing up. 🖤 by @zombiexvirus

There are some people who come into your life and quietly change it forever. For me, that’s you, Leri.

Thank you for standing beside me through every step of my French Ring journey. Through every success, every setback, every moment I questioned myself, you’ve never once stopped believing in me. When I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, you were the one reminding me it was still there. You refused to let me give up, even on the days I was ready to.

Your unwavering support, endless patience, and constant encouragement have shaped me into a stronger handler and an even stronger person. You’ve challenged me to be better, pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of, and celebrated every victory, BIG or small, as if it were your own.

The person you are is nothing short of incredible. Brave, determined, resilient, compassionate, and endlessly generous with your time and knowledge. You have a way of lifting everyone around you, and I feel unbelievably lucky to have experienced that firsthand.

I adore you more than words can express, and I hope you know how deeply appreciated and loved you are. Thank you for believing in me when I struggled to believe in myself. Thank you for every lesson, every pep talk, every laugh, every correction, and every moment you’ve invested in me.

No matter where this journey takes me, a part of every accomplishment will always belong to you because your fingerprints are all over the person I’m becoming.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor, teammate, or friend. ❤️ by @zombiexvirus

Our First attempt at FR1: unsuccessful

Back to the drawing board with this kiddoe 🤦🏽‍♀️
We both learned a lot from this trial experience, we had tons of fun and can’t wait to be back on the trial field. 💪🏽
Lots of handler errors on my behalf and of course Zombie had to join in with his dirty outs 😵‍💫🧟‍♂️
