🎛️🪘🥁🪇 Drum bus compression is one of those things that can completely transform how your drums feel in a mix - not just controlling levels but actually adding punch, energy and groove. The Shy 90s Smack has that classic 90s pumping character that's hard to replicate with a standard compressor, and in this one we go pretty deep on how to get the most out of your drum groups. Full hour long video on YouTube and Patreon

Plug-in review of Shy 90’s Smack Compressor. A really cool device with that signature 90’s pumping vibe. This is also a fairly deep dive into processing drum groups/buses for loudness, energy, punch and groove enhancement.

When comparing to glue compressor I mention we don't get the numerical ready out of the parameters on Smack - you can actually hold Shift while dragging a knob - this will display its actual value and also allow for fine adjustment.
