Hey guys, my names Evin and I am a new invertebrate keeper who is really interested in learning more and more about these interesting creatures. Today I am showing you guys my Green bottle blue aka. Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens. This is a beautiful tarantula from deep in the hills and tree roots of Venezuela. This specific species can get around 5-6 inches and have a medium to slow growth pattern. I’ve had this tarantula for about a year and and very proud with the growth. This is a new world tarantula with urticating hairs which they kick at you. While every tarantula is defensive to an extent, the gbb is a very docile but quick species, but saying that, I’ve had no problems with mine, no hairs kicked at me no defensive poses, nothing. I feed this beautiful creature 1 Dubia roach and 1 cricket a week. Thank you guys for reading and more to come soon!!! by @zoology.ev
