Octobers dog of the month is…🥁🥁🥁 Luna!!

Luna’s story-
We adopted Luna from the Eastlake Pet Orphanage in July, 2023. Our last dog had died three years before and we waited a long time to find a new family member. A friend of mine from work told me about Luna and we fell in love at first sight. Her pre-adoption name was Chai.

Congratulations! 🐶 by @zoomroomplano

They heard “sit.” They’re simply exploring other options. 😅🐾

Selective hearing is practically a teenage specialty, but your dog may just need more practice applying familiar skills in new environments.

Pro tip: Reinforce check-ins and attention before asking for a cue. Cue once and give your dog time to think. Connection first makes cooperation much easier. Adolescent dogs may also need more time to process cues.

Congratulations Celeste! 🎉

Celly’s story from her perspective-
Once upon a time, I was an overlooked pup nearing the age of 16 weeks at Puppy Dreams in Garland. At the time, I didn’t know my family had been preparing their hearts for over a year after their two little princes, Shammie and Ace, had retired from their duties overseeing the kingdom. 🌈🤍

My Queenie (aka my grand-dog mom) had just retired, and my Dog Mom knew Queenie had always wanted an Italian Greyhound. My Dog Mom thought this seemed like the perfect opportunity to seek out a new, tiny ruler. My Fairy Dog Father saw my beautiful little face - and my unicorn horn spot - online, and 2 days later, my rule over the lands began. Since then, life has been better than any “happily ever after” recorded in the storybooks! ✨️ by @zoomroomplano
