January 8, 2025
The happiest and scariest day of my life.

They arrived a day early—too eager to wait.
At 6:17 p.m., I heard Lando’s cries, and in that moment my heart learned a new kind of love—pure, overwhelming, endless.

At 6:19 p.m., AJ was born into silence.
No cry. No sound. Just fear.
My heart stopped because the room suddenly went quiet. I repeatedly asked, What’s going on, is he ok?!..

One minute and ten seconds later, I heard his cries, the weight of fear on my chest disappeared, and I said, Thank You, God.

Both of my boys were born healthy.
I held them— they felt so soft. I smelled them— they smelled so pure. And for the first time, I could finally breathe.

This year was nothing short of hard, but one smile from them makes all of the hard moments disappear. Their souls are rare. Their personalities are truly one of a kind. And their love is everything.

I am already so proud of Lando & AJ. What a year it has been to watch these boys grow. May their lives be full, their hearts protected, and their paths filled with love, lessons, and joy. 🖤 #FirstYearDown by @zorahperry
