If anyone needs a ride and help getting out to vote, hit me up. There are polling places open NOW. I don’t know about you, but I don’t trust leaving it to the last minute this time. by @zorro_nova

I won’t be on this thing much longer. I’ve loved performing and meeting so many of you, but there is something really wrong about this digital space. Good has come from it, surely, but it’s not what it was. As a performer these days, being invested and attentive to social media is part of the gig, and this is a piece of why I am stepping away. I don’t want to do it anymore. I do want to hear from you in other ways. DM me, and let’s swap numbers. I’d like space for a call or a card game. I’d like to show up in the streets arm-in-arm. I’d like to continue to grow something out from under the thumb of some corporation, so stay in touch. by @zorro_nova

It’s been a heck of a ride, young people! And from the ample bottom of my heart, I could not be more grateful ❤️

Bumpin’, grindin’, muggin’, and generally acting the fool have allowed me to make precious friendships and work with people that I deeply admire and respect. It’s allowed me to find myself and my community, but my body can’t keep doing it, not like I want to. If you want to help me send Zorro off, at least as he has been, I’ve got a gig on September 26th for @puppie_buffe ‘s Totally 90s Birthday Bash, and as a finale, I’ll be finishing things off in November at the @rvaburlesquefestival (Thursday 11/5 and Saturday 11/7). Hope I see you out there, and thanks for the applause and all the evenings you’ve shared with me through the years 💗 by @zorro_nova

2026 RVA Burlesque Festival cast spotlights:
🌟FEATURE PERFORMER🌟: Zorro Nova
Appearing on Thursday, November 5th at The Workshop by T&D and Saturday, November 7th at Bolling Haxall House

Burlesque and drag artist, Zorro Nova, has been performing, hosting, and producing along the East Coast for well over a rhinestone-encrusted decade. After first taking the firehouse stage at Richmond's own Gallery 5, he's crafted acts that blend comedy, classic burlesque, and camp for unforgettable audience experiences whether in marble-lined theaters, cozy queer bars, boisterous brewery halls or massive festivals. Starting out as Zhora Nova in 2014, Zorro came into being in full view of the truly amazing RVA scene. He's a treat! He's snack! He's the two-bite himbo you'll want seconds of! He's Zorro Nova!
