Before winter fully fades away, I wanted to give this cover and 8-page feature in Golden Ride magazine a permanent place on my feed.

Golden Ride is a Europe-based women’s action sports magazine highlighting stories and achievements in mountain biking, skiing, and surfing. I feel so proud to have my work featured. But more than anything, I feel proud that a publication like this exists. There was nothing like this when I was starting out, and it’s pretty amazing to see a magazine like this thriving. It’s official! 💫

Welcome to Hemlock Hut!

We are very excited to share that we have finally decided on a name for the RBG hut. It turns out that naming a hut is wayyy harder than naming a child! The name pays tribute to the majestic cedar and hemlock groves nestled deep in the lower elevations of the tenure. If we get to shred pow all the way down to the hemlocks… then the skiing is really good 🌲🌲🌲

There were so many good names on the shortlist… And we’re pretty sure our close friends will likely appeal our decision and continue to call it Big Bucks Powder Ranch until the end of time 😂

**We are going to continue to officially operate as Revelstoke Backcountry Guides. But our focus will now be on our guided/catered Hemlock Hut trips.

This is why we do it!
You could definitely say we’re in the thick of it with a toddler and a startup hut operation. The pace of winter has been intense, but as spring winds down and the last two trips head out the door, we’re starting to feel a collective family exhale. And just over the hill from the hut, we finally get to enjoy a few turns together ❤️

Women of Winter

I’m excited and very honoured to included in this exhibition from the @arcteryxacademy in Mammoth, CA. Curated by @_katielo and @lily.krass.ritter

All of the exhibited photos are by women photographers. When I was first approached to include a photo, I had a bit of imposter syndrome… Can I really consider myself a ‘Woman of Winter’ these days? Most of my ski time is spent on the magic carpet with my two-year-old, just trying to make it to the next snack break without a meltdown.

Ironically, they chose this photo of Tessa Treadway that I shot 10 years ago when she was also in the depths of toddler-parenting. It’s a photo that I now relate to on a whole different level... Digging so deep inside yourself to find the patience, love, compassion that it takes just to get the tiny friggen ski boots on. Sometimes it’s harder than a big day at Rogers Pass…let me tell you! 😂

Thank you Katie, Lily, @theskijournal & @arcteryx for seeing Tessa and I as Women of Winter even when it looks a bit different.

Happy 40th B-DAY IZZY!!!!
Growing up we weren’t super close because of the 5.5 age gap. But when I was around 16 and she was 21 we developed a bond around our shared obsession with freeskiing. The next year Izzy moved to Revelstoke and invited me out sleep on her floor and ski the deepest powder of my life. 17 years later we are still here. Still skiing. A lot has happened since. Big adventures, films, houses, businesses, weddings, babies. Not really sure where I’m going with this post but I just want to say that we love you @izzy__lynch !!!!!! Most of my current Izzy photos are filled with flowers and kids piled on top of her. So here are a few photos that celebrate the badass mountain lady that she is! by @zoyalynch

You know that feeling when you discover a really amazing place and you just want to share it with everyone you love?! That is what @hemlockhut feels like for me, and I’m very excited to report that you can officially book for 2026! ✨🌲

This past winter was a time of major transition (and survival lol) and figuring out the direction for our business. We landed on offering 3-day guided & catered hut trips for groups of 4. It just feels like the perfect answer to all the challenges that go into booking/filling a classic backcountry lodge trip. Small groups so you don’t have to hustle to find 12+ people. Short trips so that you don’t have to commit to a full week away. A great option for parents who need a little break. Or for folks who have always wanted to go to a backcountry hut but you don’t even know where to start or how to get on a trip. Also fun for Revelstoke locals looking for a little weekend getaway!? Or just a new place to ski and play late night Yahtzee!!!
