This moment will forever be with me, This is the first day of starting something huge… I filmed my first scene for 20hours The beginning of my 1hour independent film called “⚫️⚫️⚫️”

It all started when i didn’t get accepted in university of film, it broke me in pieces and ofc as an artist you feel like you are not enough so i cried and went to sleep. At 3am i saw a poster of this film in my dream and i had no clue what is coming my way. I woke up and made the poster ready before i started filming the movie.

I went thought a lot emotionally and physically planning and making my vision come true. I’m very proud of myself for upcoming something truly meaningful.

This process made me learn a lot from mistakes of film making and it indeed made me grow artistically.

This film has a piece of my heart and a sensitive piece of me.

“⚫️⚫️⚫️” expresses different stories visually focused on human psychology. I experimented with my experiences from my childhood, culture and present life living in europe.

It will be showing at @saimaafilmfestival which i’m very grateful of and super happy to be apart of.

Meet the crew behind ⚫️⚫️⚫️ a 1hour 17min 45sec feature Film

It has been a pleasure working with all of you, i truly enjoyed every second of it. I appreciate the hard work you all put into this project.

The director has been very goofy.
The writer has been very depressed unfortunately.
The producer has been doing nothing but sitting on their computer for hours.
The casting Director found random actors from the streets.
I feel so sad for the Editor.
The cinematographer has been very creative.
Set decorator drank so many coffees…they spent all my money.
The person who made sculptures are very creative thank you for your hard time and lots of wood work.
The actor is just crazy…
The music producer experimented the sh* out of my ears.
And finally the Assistant oh lord without you i wouldn’t have survived.

And for everyone else god bless you!
And as a female filmmaker you ain’t gonna catch me 😔

Welcome to our one day group exhibition on the 20th of October, showing works by first year students from the Academy of Fine art.

Artists of this exhibition bring together a variety of mixed mediums expressing an unknown of the unknown.

Juulia Paasikivi works in figurative paintings, symbolism and colour.

Rua Najim is a psychological creator whom manipulates human brain - communicating through audiovisual /- light expressing = you know never next my move.

Alia Luostarinen is a Helsinki-based queer artist working primarily with sculpture, video, and photography. Through their installations, which use materials such as hair, they explore themes of identity, its construction, and transformation.

Iida Viio is a visual artist working primarily through photographic methods, performance and sound. Currently intrigued by the themes of apophenia and the fragile machinery around.

Nikan Dorran is drawn to what cannot be easily captured by words, and to forms of knowing that can emerge through sustained engagement.

First Project in Helsinki!!

Featuring @siriuslyserious_ and @zrua_ , do come down for a really fun evening of weird and yummy sounds in real time, and some really cool films!

Many thanks to @vapaantaiteentila for the venue support and such a cool space!

Do come if you're down for some edgy non-commercial music-making! Even if you aren't, just come anyways - you never know what surprises may await!! :)

[Event Synopsis]
Hello! :)

We are a trio of students from UniArts Helsinki (Sibelius Academy; Academy of Fine Arts), interested in interdisciplinary collaborations!

One of our shared aesthetic interests is the idea of creative spontaneity:

Instead of reading and replicating a score like a composed piece, we "compose" the music on the spot!

Improvisation (contrary to certain stereotypes), isn't just about whacking random shit and expecting it to work.

Rather, it celebrates what is fundamental to being human - being present in the moment, embracing risk, and finding common ground between people who may come from radically different backgrounds (or not, and daring to propose and challenge new ideas!)

[title TBC], is a title that emphasises the open-ended nature of this concert, challenging the traditional presumptions of what a concert programme is. Join us for an EXCITING evening of unexpected twists and turns! Embrace the broad eclecticism of many different musical styles, as we form artistic relationships with visual elements in real time, while figuring out what all of this means to us!

Hope to see you there!

~ Xavier, Brandon, Rua

Poem - Najim

You and i met and suddenly future became now, do we us ever think why? suddenly again we saw now in us that could change the future

We have eachother and yet stuck in a box. - but one can’t get out and both could break it down.

It’s okey i say - it’s okey he says - i guess will figure future yesterday and past tomorrow.

He says - we both in the same path, let’s break the door before the disaster begins.
