Hit the streets of Chicago with the best support crew! Felt good to toe the starting line again after getting my butt kicked by life the last 18 months - a seizure, shoulder surgery, and a few other curveballs. Helps having @whitslims as an in-house doctor! 🙌

It wasn’t pretty, but we got it done 😂 Was a blast having a crew from South GA & ATL cheering me on!

Gluten-Free Pizza & Beer in Atlanta?! The Grove at @mondaynightgrove is a must!

They have an entirely separate space for their gluten-free pizza (only open on Saturday), and their beer is truly gluten-free not gluten reduced. Can not recommend enough!

Also 10/10 vibes, screens to watch games, and quality music!

I’m so thankful for you Whit! This last year involved a few too many trips to the hospital & a surgery and this woman right here did not hesitate to go above and beyond. Love you Whit and excited for some more years together

I couldn’t resist joining the wave of building things! My wife has a severe gluten-allergy, and it is always a challenge trying to find a place we can eat. This is a challenge whether we are in Atlanta or somewhere abroad. I found myself scouring through hundreds of Google reviews, and I know many others are in the same boat.

We tried a handful of platforms out there, but I felt like none of them had exactly what I wanted. So, I built my own!

Introducing WiseBites, a restaurant discovery tool for those with celiac & gluten-sensitivities.

The concept is simple: you search anywhere in the world (literally anywhere) and WiseBites leverages AI to quickly surface insights to you based on existing reviews from Google & WiseBites.

The platform supports a number of features: robust search, advanced filtering, a map view, WiseScores for restaurants, and custom lists. Each of these is meant to help you quickly get information, organize places you like, and easily be able to find them later.

WiseBites has more features coming soon, including a chat interface that I’m really excited about.

Patagonia (Argentinian side) is quite hard to put into words, literally felt like another world! Over three days, we hiked 42 miles with a total of 8,961 feet of elevation gain. Several times I questioned my life choices that led me to that moment of hiking up a mountain at a 40% grade. But wow, what a privilege to see parts of the world only accessible by foot & even more of a privilege to have the health to do so! The world lost a special person 2 weeks ago. I still can’t believe it. If you knew Mike, you know how special he was. He is the definition of a free spirit, he knew how to find the joy in the simplest things, he loved adventures big & small, he had this infectious joy & smile, and he truly could make any situation absolutely hilarious. Even now, going through old photos & messages with friends, he has us laughing at the silliest Michael jokes (“ta-ha”, or insert some random YouTube/movie quote).

I met Mike 14 years ago at UGA where we were froomies (freshman roommates)! I basically knew no one when I got to UGA. I was the lone kid on the team from south of ATL, and I was probably an uptight, overly-obsessed runner (we’ve all been there).

Funny enough, two of my roommates initially thought they wouldn’t like me & we wouldn’t be friends. One of those ended up being Mike (the other Jackson, Brookwood had it out for me 😂) They later confessed to me in our dorm, that they had been way off about me & we were going to be great friends 😂😂 He called me a GOAT before it was a cool acronym but I think he was just early

Even though Mike thought he wouldn’t like me, I don’t think it was in his nature to not bring joy to others, because even in those 1st few months he was the same Mike I knew for the next 14 years. I went back and scrolled all the FB posts Mike put on my page and the very first one ever just said “<3”

By our 5th year at UGA, it was just me, Mike and Steve (@finesser_elite ) left from our original class! 5th years against the world! That 5th year solidified a bond between us of so many miles, fun XC trips, a lot of Mountain Dews, a trip to Terrapin or two, and the dumbest jokes. I’m so thankful for that year and the 5th year boys.
