The 78th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, for the very first time in its history, included Associate Casting Directors in their respective casting categories. A year ago, Alexa Pereira, Steven Tylor O’Connor, and myself set out to petition the TV Academy to include Associates in the ceremony this year. Our then TV Academy Casting Governors, Marc Hirschfeld and Megan Sleeper, were instrumental in championing the inclusion of Associates. Then, with additional support from the overwhelming number of so many Casting Directors we know and love, we received official word this past January that we had done it.

I know I can speak for Alexa and Steven when I say it’s one of the proudest moments of our careers so far. Trophies are great, but the visibility of what we do and its vitality to the creative process is really what it’s all about.

Bravo to history-makers, Seth Caskey, Associate Casting Director of The Pitt and Jennifer Brooks, Associate Casting Director of Love Story. Your work speaks for itself and we’re so damn honored that you were the first to pave the way ❤️

It really was an honor to be nominated for this year’s Artios Awards, but an even bigger honor to bring my favorite person, my Mom, to meet our village that I love and fight for everyday. Thank you to everyone who was so warm and kind to her!

Congratulations to Tara Rubin on your win and to my fellow nominees, Ryan Tymensky, Phyllis Schuringa, JC Clementz, and Beth Lipari. LA Theatre is a cultural cornerstone of this town and I hope everyone continues to support it, whether it’s a 99-Seat theatre on Santa Monica Blvd. or Center Theatre Group downtown.

The Great Work continues 💙

Thank you to the @csacasting for my very first Artios nomination, and one as a Casting Director. I can’t thank @rwarren07 enough for his vision, @bertvroyal for his words, and the entire Dog Sees God team and cast for saying yes to one of my favorite plays since college. And to be on the same ballot as these casting legends?! Congrats to all the nominees and I’ll see you in February ❤️ #castingby by @zspiegelcasts

To kick off 2025, I got to work with the most wonderful team @keytvnetwork on their series, GLAM THROUGH THE AGES, starring the one and only @keke 🔥

“This dynamic series fuses makeover storytelling with historical deep dives, recreating
iconic beauty trends from different time periods while unpacking their cultural and social significance.”

We got to cast three BRILLIANT different content creators who are experts on these lifestyles and trends throughout three different decades: the 50s, the 70s, and the 90s. Shout out to Taniqua, Garrett, and Taylor, who guest starred on each episode with Keke to take us to history class!

Many thanks to @bethbengeee for connecting me with the amazing @justincoloma and #patrickgarney and of course, the fabulous @noraradd

And a special shout out to my unscripted CSA siblings @jazzycasting and @amandaogen who were nothing but encouraging and excited for me when I needed it most ❤️

It’s a #flashbackfriday to my set visit for SPIRIT IN THE SKY, a music video of the hit song by Norman Greenbaum honoring the 55th Anniversary of its release with @craftrecordings ❤️

With the brilliance of Laurence Harlan Jacobs and Jessica Jacobs at the helm, we diligently cast a story of adventure, spontaneity, and drive (no pun intended). That set was nothing but pure joy.

To Conor and Abby - you both nailed it as you do in all of your work and I will always be a fan. Special thanks to WME, Gersh, and Anonymous Content.
