This kitchen remodel was exciting to be a part of and being featured on Pittsburghs's Finest Kitchens and Baths was a wonderful experience. by @zuhause_interiors

Old buildings have history, character, beautiful details… and occasionally the feeling that you’re not the only one there. For someone who loves old houses as much as I do, that’s hardly a dealbreaker. Happy Halloween!

Something spooky for your Friday framing feature! This was a super fun and nostalgic project. Thank you @zuhause_interiors for the collaboration 🖤✨

An office can be serious about work without being serious about everything else.

The deep blue built-ins give this room some personality, while the framed maps make it personal to the person actually working here. Add in a really functional desk setup and you get a space that works hard without feeling like an office cubicle made its way home.

The prettiest part of a project is usually the easiest part to share. The behind-the-scenes? Not quite as photogenic. But this is such a big part of what full-service design actually means. We’re keeping track of all the moving pieces so our clients don’t have to carry them around in their heads.

If it all feels surprisingly easy on your end, we’re doing something right.

There’s something very satisfying about seeing a space go from drawings on a screen to a room you can actually walk into.

So many decisions happen between these two frames, but watching the original vision come to life never gets old.

Built-ins this substantial deserve to feel like part of the architecture, not just added storage.

We carried the dark wood across the entire wall and worked the fireplace right into the composition, giving everything a sense of scale and permanence. The green tile adds just enough color to break up all that beautiful wood.

Sometimes bigger really is better.

Dark blue might not be the first color that comes to mind when you think “neutral,” but that’s exactly how we used it here.

For this kids’ bathroom, it gave us a base that could grow and change with them. Green today, but pink, aqua, yellow, red…almost anything could take its place and the room would still make sense.

A little more fun than beige, with all the versatility.

Sharing a little more of the green kitchen because we all love it too much not to.

The color, the wallpaper, the warm wood, the little details... there’s something good to look at in every corner. A kitchen with plenty of personality, exactly how we like it.

There’s a lot going on here, in the best way.

Patterned drapery, wallpaper, a colorful rug, vintage wood chairs, bright yellow glasses, and a little sparkle from the chandelier all make the room feel collected instead of overly coordinated.

This is the kind of layering that gives a space personality. Not everything has to match perfectly. It just has to feel like it belongs.

Sometimes one beautiful room makes the room next to it start asking for a little attention too.

And that doesn’t always mean another renovation. Sometimes the right furnishings, color, and finishing touches are enough to make the spaces around it feel connected again.

A much gentler next step when you’re officially done living through construction.

A little color, a little pattern, and a little gold goes a long way.

The brass details here help warm everything up and give the wallpaper a more polished feel. It’s playful, but still elevated, which is usually the sweet spot.

Proof that a powder room is the perfect place to have some fun.
