Image first, music second.

Dat hoeft niet meer… 😎

Grab the camera, head over to the Effenaar and shoot some bands. 24 or 36 clicks to try and catch that one lucky shot. Image first, music second.

Not anymore… 😎

Now it’s just about enjoying the bands and casually shooting a few pics along the way. And getting to sneak backstage thanks to your mate Mahmoud, just to catch up for five minutes during his break at the Effenaar. 📸🎸❤️

📍 Stichting Zacht Beton
Tweede Oosterparkstraat 227, Amsterdam

🗓 zaterdag 5 & zondag 6 september
⏰ 10:00–18:00
🎤 Artist Talk + Q&A zaterdag om 13:00

Hope to see you there!

NDSM

Waar staal nog verhalen draagt
en oude kranen naar de hemel wijzen,
krijgt de stad een andere adem.

Rauw aan de randen,
vrij in het midden.
Wind over het IJ,
kunst op elke hoek,
kleur buiten de lijntjes.

Hier hoeft Amsterdam
even niet gepolijst te zijn.

Ruimte om te maken,
te dwalen,
anders te kijken.

Noord,
zoals Noord bedoeld is.

•~~~•

NDSM

Where steel still carries stories
and old cranes point towards the sky,
the city breathes differently.

Rough around the edges,
free at its heart.
Wind across the IJ,
art around every corner,
colour outside the lines.

Here, Amsterdam
doesn’t have to be polished.

Space to create,
to wander,
to see things differently.

North,
the way North was meant to be.

Shadowplay ☀️

Schaduw schuift over glas
en raakt het gebouw
alsof licht hier leert vertragen.

Lijnen breken,
ramen spiegelen de lucht,
beton vangt de stilte
van een stad die even stilstaat.

•~~~•

Shadowplay ☀️

Shadow slides across glass
and touches the building
as if light is learning to slow down here.

Lines break,
windows mirror the sky,
concrete holds the silence
of a city standing still
for just a moment.

Wadend aan Amsterdam-Noord,
met het water aan mijn zijde,
fluistert het veer zachtjes
iets nieuws naar binnen.

Mijn geluksnummer 54,
zon op mijn gezicht,
een frisse nieuwe wind
die alles lichter maakt.

Tussen overkant en aankomst,
tussen stroming en stilte,
voelt de dag alsof hij zegt:
dit is pas het begin.

•~~~•

Wading into Amsterdam North,
with the water by my side,
the ferry whispers softly
something new blows in.

My lucky number 54,
sunshine on my face,
a fresh new breeze
making everything feel lighter.

Between crossing and arrival,
between current and silence,
the day feels like it is saying:
this is only the beginning.

Morning dew in ’t Vondelpark,

begin rustig, begin hier.

•~~~•

Morning dew in Vondelpark,
mist low over the fields,
tiny beads of silence on the grass,
while the city pauses, just a little.

Sunlight finds the treetops first,
turning cold into gold,
and the morning seems to say,
start softly, start here.
