Waffles is a rescued wild animal living at Animal Tracks sanctuary, where I have the joy of spending time with this little character. And yes, I’m completely smitten. 🥰

Think Waffles deserved his shot at stardom? 🎬😂

Meet Waffles, the groundhog whose brother Chicken became a movie star. Waffles was apparently considered too old for the role. 🙄

I volunteer at Animal Tracks, an animal sanctuary, and this mango-loving, opinionated little guy has completely stolen my heart. 🥭❤️ His grumpy noises, dramatic food getaways, and surprisingly sweet moments make every visit memorable.

Waffles is a wild animal, not a pet, and I’m grateful he receives the specialized care he needs.

His brother got the movie role. Waffles got a starring role in my heart. ⭐

Les presento a Waffles, una marmota cuyo hermano Chicken se convirtió en estrella de cine. Al parecer, consideraron a Waffles demasiado mayor para el papel. 🙄

Soy voluntaria en Animal Tracks, un santuario de animales, y este pequeñín gruñón y amante del mango me ha robado el corazón. 🥭❤️ Sus quejas, sus escapadas con la comida y sus momentos tiernos hacen que cada visita sea especial.

Waffles es un animal silvestre, no una mascota, y me alegra que reciba los cuidados especializados que necesita.

Su hermano consiguió el papel. Waffles tiene un papel protagónico en mi corazón. ⭐

Sitting quietly in Rwanda, watching this beautiful mama hold her baby so close, was one of those moments when the rest of the world just disappears.

There is something incredibly moving about seeing the tenderness, trust and connection between a gorilla mother and her baby in the wild.

On World Gorilla Day, I’m feeling especially grateful that I was lucky enough to witness this. 🌿

Protect them. Protect their home. Protect the wild. 🦍🌍

My beloved Koda. 🤍

My gentle giant. The most noble, quiet and loving soul. He never barked, never asked for much. There was always something a little somber about him, as if he carried the memories of the hard life he had before he found me.

Koda came into my life as a foster, but there was no way I could ever let him go. My beautiful foster failure.

I thought I was rescuing him, but the truth is, Koda rescued me. I was going through one of the darkest times of my life after losing my first dog, and somehow this quiet, gentle creature helped bring me back. For six years, he gave me his companionship, his trust and his unconditional love.

I only wish I could have given him as many years of happiness as he deserved.

Koda, I loved you dearly. Thank you for finding me when I needed you most. Thank you for six beautiful years. A soul as gentle as yours will stay with me forever.
