This outfit is a metaphor for regeneration. Capturing the essence of sustainability as a transformative force.
It tells a story of transformation and resilience.

Denim sourced from discarded jeans will give life to worn out garments that would have otherwise contribute to landfills.Each piece of fabric tells a unique story of its previous life, stitched together to create a renewed narrative.

The silhouettes mimics a tent with ropes usually the only option left for people who get displaced from their homes as a result of adverse effects of climate change.
The patches symbolise diversity needed to tackle climate change.

The intricate patterns showcase the beauty that could emerge from fixing our relationship with the planet. A future where style and sustainability intertwine seamlessly, leaving a lighter footprint on the planet.

Zuwbi stepped into a room filled with stories, ideas and possibility.

Sharing our work at the UN CAF event by @fmactce_nigeria showed us that people were truly watching, listening and engaging. Showcasing the pieces, speaking about where they come from ...About consciousness, sustainability, and intention ...and seeing genuine curiosity in the room reminded me why I started.

Zuwbi was never just about clothes. It’s about telling stories softly. About pausing to reflect. About knowing better and doing better. About creating pieces that feel familiar, honest and rooted.

We had the honour of presenting our designs to the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy @honhannatumusawa , as well as the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs @hm_womenaffairs , both of whom showed genuine love for the work.

What stayed with us most were the conversations; honest, layered, future facing. The kind that stretch your thinking and sharpen your purpose. A shared understanding that African creativity doesn’t need permission to evolve.

From the reworked denim signifying resilience, to the Coral beads as heritage, and the layers of tulle flowing like the sea that birthed both. Every element in this outfit carried a message….I wanted her to exclude grace, looking like tradition meeting tide.
