NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES AND THE SURGE OF FAKE CERTIFICATES.

The increasing prevalence of fake certificates from Nigerian universities is a matter of concern for both citizens and the academic community. With some cases currently in court and many others pending resolution, it's clear that action is needed to address this issue.

To restore integrity to our educational system, I propose the following measures:

1. Digital Certificate Verification: Implement an online platform for verifying the authenticity of certificates to make it easier for employers and other institutions to confirm their legitimacy.

2. Enhanced Certificate Security: Utilize advanced security features such as holograms, watermarks, and microprinting to prevent counterfeiting.

3. Centralized Certificate Database: Establish a centralized database of issued certificates for easy tracking and verification.

4. Unique Certificate Numbers: Assign unique numbers to each certificate to simplify the verification process.

5. Collaboration with Law Enforcement: Work with law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute cases of certificate forgery.

6. Student Identity Verification: Implement robust student identity verification processes to prevent impersonation.

7. Stringent Quality Control: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and detect any irregularities.

8. Educational Campaigns: Launch public awareness campaigns to educate students, employers, and the general public about the risks and consequences of fake certificates.

9. Industry Alignment: Work with professional bodies to ensure that certificates meet industry standards and are recognized nationally and internationally.

10. Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and improve these measures to stay ahead of counterfeiters. by @zwalnandavid

This is not to demean driving jobs, a fortune can be made from it but I feel there is much more to do with a PhD certificate.
Reading the report that 27 PhD graduates applied to fill the vacancy for truck drivers at Dangote Cement Plc aches my heart.

Add skills to your certificate. Learn handwork while you study if you can.

Additionally, the Nigerian University curriculum needs to be restructured to reflect the current job demands.

Make we not just d waste 4 years in classes only to learn how to read, write and argue at Newspaper stands abeg. 😁😂 by @zwalnandavid

So I woke up this morning and have been considering taking a career in signing. 🙆🏽‍♂️
It might not be necessary, but it seems like a great option for me. 😁

Did you know that Solomon Lange, a talented singer, met his wife Flora, a Beauty Therapist, on Facebook? And now, another amazing singer, Moses Bliss, met his wife, a God-sent Ghanian UK-based Lawyer, on Instagram. 🤔😂🫣😄.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking 🤔😂🫣😄. by @zwalnandavid
