It’s been quiet for a while, but Opening Lines is back for rainy/stormy/chilly fall vibes: it’s November! This Friday at 12h, the show is featuring Zwits, one of my good friends, but also someone who always amazes en inspires me with his knowledge and collection of music; from weirdo oldschool Dutch lyrics, all the way to classic country, folk, blues and Americana, and from time to time even traditional Brazilian Parabéns. Together with this DJ, chef and doglover, I’ll explore life beyond the booth. Curious? A little sneak peek: we’ll talk about Slush Puppy, musical obsessions and - on that note - Bob Dylan.

For the night program Saturday (11 October) we got some exciting DJ’s for you.

To start off with @djalmelo from 22:00 till 00:00.
DJ Almelo brings the beats from the streets. They say he could easily beat Jack van Gelder in a fist fight.

After that @_nijkamp will play from 00:00 till 01:30.
Nijkamp has a sharp ear for weird wave and gritty electro. As an Operator resident and a curator of the upcoming compilation album ‘Het Vreemd’, he shares ‘80s inspired electronics from the Dutch underground. Expect obscure Dutch treats and raw energy on the dancefloor.

We finish the night with @zwits_ as his alter ego: spastic joy from 01:30 till 03:00.

MORGEN OFTEWEL SAIL-IN

@spoelboys begon als een team achter de bar van onze vrienden van @skatecafeamsterdam . Tijdens glazenspoelen knalden ze hun eigen muziek, wat snel zorgde voor minstens zoveel publiek bij hen als op de dansvloer. Nu zijn ze achter de bar vandaan gekropen en vullen ze zalen met hun sets. Van tijdloze klassiekers tot gloednieuwe tunes!

@zwits_ loves psychedelische gitaren, Afrikaanse muziek, jazz, country en Nederlandstalige nummers. Je vindt hem achter de draaitafel bij de @klooiklup of solo, waar hij allerlei soorten muziek draait, van punk tot electronisch, maar net waar hij zelf zin in heeft, maar altijd fucking chille vibe!
