Video created by @madricetv "Me no ogre, me cyclops" is elite dialogue writing. 😭

RPG encounters are famous for setting up epic battles between noble heroes and terrifying monsters, but occasionally, the dialogue takes a completely unhinged turn that completely derails the drama. In fantasy gaming lore, knights and adventurers are often sent on quests to eliminate legendary beasts terrorizing local settlements. Normally, these moments feature dramatic speeches, battle cries, and heroic declarations, but every so often, game developers throw in a moment of pure comedic subversion by subverting classic fantasy tropes.

In this absurd interaction, a knight charges into a dark medieval village with his sword drawn, ready to execute an enemy he misidentifies as an ogre. Instead of immediately attacking, the single-eyed monster takes issue with the knight's lack of biological accuracy, pausing the battle to explain the fundamental anatomical differences between an ogre and a cyclops. What makes the moment so hilarious is how the hero completely dismisses the distinction to keep his epic moment going, only for the monster to counter his accusations with a simple "nuh-uh."
