I can’t believe it ya’ll!! We did it!!
Our fundraiser goal was met+some🥹🫶🏻

These past few months have been some of the most transformative and challenging moments of my life.
I almost died.
It can feel so scary and isolating at first, having my community and family show up for me keeps me going.

I’m so grateful for the surgeons, nurses, and social workers that worked tirelessly to save my life and get me into the right rehabilitation program.
Thank you to my rehab team, to the physical and occupational therapists who kept me up and out of bed, not allowing me to get swallowed up by the grief and fear, yet still holding space for me to feel. Without your encouragement and guidance I would’ve been lost in this mess.

Thank you to my friends and family who showed up, rain, snow or shine to be there for me, to make me laugh, even on the hardest of days.

Thank you THANK YOU!! to everyone who donated to and shared my recovery fund, with your help I was finally able to rent an accessible apartment:))

Healing is not linear.

I feel so lucky, grateful, and privileged to be able to live in an ADA apartment for the first time ever(!!!)

I love my people❤️😭

I’ve been going back n forth about what I want to say in this post…

Maybe something about how unexpected and wild 2025 was for me. Or how none of this shit was in my bingo cards. But truthfully there are no words. Nothing will hold the whirlwind of feelings in this moment.

This has been the hardest and scariest month and a half of my life. Becoming a bilateral amputee is a wholeeee different ballgame, everything I had adapted myself to over the past (almost) 9 years is now thrown out the window.

Everything has flipped upside down. My needs are now way greater than my family’s means. I truly believe in my community and their ability to hold me up during this time, but the finances aren’t adding up and we need help.
