A little late posting this, but here it is Day 2 of the Toronto Game Expo Spring Edition 2026! I had an amazing time volunteering at the raffle station once again and doing plenty of laps around the venue with a few friends who joined me for the Sunday show.
One of the best parts was meeting and talking with so many talented cosplayers and seeing their incredible work in person, truly a peak experience. The passion, creativity, and attention to detail everyone brought made the event even more special.
Already looking forward to coming back to TGE this fall for even more great memories and awesome times! taken in Enercare Centre by @zzorchey

Saturday at Toronto Game Expo 2026 was such an amazing experience! I had a great time chatting with cosplayer and seeing so many incredible cosplays in person, the level of detail and effort everyone put into their work was seriously impressive. Cosplayers truly bring this event to life and take it to the next level for me.
I also had the chance to volunteer at TGE at raffle booth, which made the whole experience even more engaging and fun. Huge thanks to all the cosplayers who took the time to take photos with me, it really means a lot to me!
And apologies if I missed tagging anyone in this post. I’ll be sharing my TGE Sunday highlights in a few days after I get some rest. Later taken in Enercare Centre by @zzorchey

I spent my Valentine’s Day at the Collectors Supershow hosted by CSC & Sport Card Expo.
Got there early to catch the incredible afternoon dance performances sooo worth it! The energy was unreal. I also had the chance to meet and chat with so many insanely talented cosplayers. Huge shoutout to everyone who took photos with me, absolute legends. Sorry for not tagging everyone. 🫶🔥
And I finally got to witness the Nordic Cosplay Championship contest for the first time… WOW. Btw I called that cabbage guy would win haha
Hands down the best event I’ve been to so far this year. taken in The International Centre by @zzorchey

A few weeks ago, in mid-January, I went on a hiking trip to see the frozen Hilton Falls my favorite park in the Halton region. The weather was crisp but comfortable, especially in the forest where there was little wind. We explored a few trails for just over two hours. I usually prefer the longer trail, but this time we decided to cut it short.
The frozen falls were absolutely stunning, with thick ice built up around them, making it safe to walk nearby. You can get very close to the falls only during winter, and they don’t freeze every year, which made the experience even more special. We enjoyed some tea and biscuits by the fire, and I filled my water bottle with fresh spring water from beside the falls. I also got to feed a few birds in the forest next time, I’ll bring nuts instead of biscuits.
Overall, it’s a fantastic park with many trails and a beautiful waterfall to explore. Later that evening, I went ice skating at Celebration Square in Mississauga. Next stop: frozen Niagara Falls. taken in Hilton Falls Conservation Area by @zzorchey

On January 31, I attended the very first @actionfigurecomiccon at the Japanese Culture Centre, and it was absolutely worth it. There were tons of vendors with amazing figurines, different merch, and Funko Pops. The cosplayers really took this event to the next level for me.
It was great chatting with @curseling_cosplay and seeing his cosplay in person. @theinstaword as Helldivers had a sick cape and awesome props, and @kurthamburg absolutely killed it as the Hunter from Bloodborne.
I also attended my first workshop, hosted by amazing cosplayers @cass_ritter and bunnybombshell it was super interesting and engaging. Huge congrats to @thetmntcollector for holding the world record for the biggest TMNT collection.
Before heading out, I picked up an insane Bloodborne print and sticker from @taquitosauce I had eyes on it since summer time. I also got to watch martial arts classes and bow-shooting practice, which were awesome to see.
Massive thank you to everyone who let me take photos with them and if I missed anyone, please don’t go hard on me =). Until next time! taken in Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre by @zzorchey

In mid-July, I went on a 6 day trip to Silent Lake for the third year in a row. This time, we stayed in a freshly renovated yurt with sky-dome not far from the lake, which made the experience even more special. It was an amazing trip filled with daily fishing, swimming in the clear water, and kayaking.
At night, I loved stargazing, seeing a sky full of stars above my head felt truly magical. Starting campfires and cooking fresh fish, burgers and potatoes is always a joy when spending time outdoors. We visited the town of Bancroft and stopped by the Eagles Nest Lookout for the views once again.
I would absolutely love to return to Silent Lake and complete the 15-kilometre hike around the lake in the future. taken in Silent Lake Provincial Park by @zzorchey

My favourite trip of this year was a 6 days camping adventure at Kill Bear Provincial park in Georgian Bay at the beginning of August. I loved waking up at 6am and going for a swim on the empty beach and watching the sunrise. Every single day we went to watch sunset from the jumping rocks, yes I did jump multiple times haha. One day we had a storm and a lot of lightning on Lake Huron but it wasn’t a big deal as it was far away. I spotted some beautiful wildlife in the park including deer, fox and woodpeckers, thankfully no bear. We took many hiking trails around the park thought out different camp sites and walking bearfoot on black rocks felt incredible grounding. I spend most of the time on the beach, swimming, playing pickleball and jumping from rocks. This was my 3rd time visiting Kill Bear Provincial park and it’s hands down one of the best places to escape. Being able to enjoy time off from the city and work definitely helps refresh, recharge and finds sense of peace. I’m already looking forward to returning to Killbear again in 2026! taken in Kilbear Provincial Park by @zzorchey

At the end of August, I went on a 4 day camping trip to Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron. Even though it was fairly cold, I swam multiple times every day haha. I loved ending each day by watching the sunset, sitting by the campfire, and then stargazing. Most nights had clear skies, and you could see the Milky Way right above you, along with many shooting stars. I also walked the entire 14 km Savanna Trail around the park, setting a personal record of 30k steps in one day. This was my third time camping at Pinery Provincial Park, which offers a wide variety of beautiful spots throughout the park. Definitely worth checking out long sandy beach with dunes and amazing scenery. 2025 taken in The Pinery Provincial Park Grand Bend by @zzorchey

Attending FanExpo 2025 for the first time was an absolute blast. On day one, I volunteered with the merch team; day two, I worked Operations for McGregor; and on the third day, I supervised cosplay meet-ups for photo shoots.
The Undertale meet-up was easily the highlight—over 250+ people attended, and everything was incredibly well organized and smoothly managed. Seeing the event in person was amazing, and the variety and creativity of the cosplayers were truly next level. Huge thanks to everyone who took pictures with me.
I had an incredible time at FanExpo this year and am already hoping to return in 2026 possibly as volunteer staff again. Time will tell. taken in FAN EXPO Canada by @zzorchey

Niagara Falls on Christmas Day. Walked on rainbow bridge to USA customs and hostility was next level haha. It was a decent walk around the state park with few glimpses at the falls. Winter festival at night was awesome with vibrant colours and different sculptures. Whole road was covered with different attractions and fully packed. Definitely cool experience with more every new year. Early fireworks at the falls were great addition to the lights! taken in Winter Festival of Lights by @zzorchey
