《YOU GOT HACKED》20252:46 videoThis video work originates from my research on the large-scale surveillance system of the People’s Republic of China, exploring human behavior patterns under self-surveillance. When I returned to my mother‘s hometown in China in 2024, I noticed that the most significant change in the streets compared to ten years ago was the prominent presence of surveillance systems. While Taiwan also has many cameras, China’s system is far more organized, extending beyond cameras to large-scale biometric recognition and the social credit system. China stands as the most notable example in discussions about state surveillance. In 2025, Big Brother is watching more closely than ever, yet he has already transformed into various forms, silently observing us. Perhaps, within this system, we are the ones in the tower, watching as well.This work incorporates footage from publicly accessible network camera streams, spanning public spaces to private indoor environments. It seeks to raise awareness of the security vulnerabilities of IP cameras through the video. Ultimately, the artist‘s images reveal the dual identity of self-surveillance and observing others, blurring the line between the watcher and the watched.#survillance #caughtoncamera #panopticon #1984 by @zzz.riley

《Guitar Hero》 - video documentation This work is a process of reconciliation between myself and my identity as a guitarist.When I was a teenager, I dreamed of becoming a great guitarist. Someone who could play fast solos, radiate stage charisma, and control the instrument with ease. But in reality, I am not a highly technical player. Maybe because of laziness, distraction, frustration, or simply being on the wrong path, I spent several years barely touching the guitar seriously.After coming to Europe, I finally picked it up again, formed a band, and returned to performing. During the years I was away from it, my musical taste and creative direction had already changed deeply. I started making electronic music, exploring sound art, and slowly began to see creation as a more open and experimental space.I began to ask myself how I could bring my love for the guitar back into my current artistic practice. That question became the starting point of Guitar Hero.Through this project, I want to bring more of my personal experience and emotions into my music, and at the same time face the feelings of failure, self doubt, and avoidance that I had been carrying for years.I also have to admit my own contradictions. I once tried to avoid the reality that mastering an instrument requires long term and disciplined practice. Instead, I attempted to invent my own instrument and my own way of performing, building what seemed like a freer path. But reflecting on this work made me realize that I was never trying to replace the guitar. I was still longing to build a real relationship with it.Guitar Hero is not only a technical or formal experiment. It is a process of facing my setbacks, reclaiming a lost skill, and learning how to love the guitar again. by @zzz.riley

《Life’s a struggle》 - exhibition The work consists of two 3D-printed climbing holds coated with graphite conductive spray. When a participant hangs between the holds, the Arduino touch pins detect the contact, triggering pre-written lines of text that are read aloud by the Mac’s built-in Whisper voice system. In the moment when the stones “speak,” the participant not only feels the physical tension and weight but also experiences a sense of mental and emotional struggle.Group exhibition of @madtech.fmi Location: @kel__30 by @zzz.riley
