on june 12, 2024 i rededicated my life to the lord and decided to live sold out for him and him alone. i walked out of service and met pastor alex outside and the first thing he said to me was “thats an altar call face” but it was also the face of a lost person that had been found. thursday morning pastor alex talked about captivity and how the moment you think you have the ability to control something it takes you captive and you have made a compromise and compromise is what introduces sin. leaving me to dwell on this most of the day made me realize there was things i needed to let go. later that day i heard that they would be baptizing people in the pool at 5. i went to my swim time at 2:30 and then went to play signs just like i had the day before and then i went to the cabin to get ready for service. when i got there emma was sitting in her swimsuit and we were talking about the baptism and i told her i was going to go with her to support (dressed for service). and standing there with marissa i felt a tug in my heart to get in line so i looked at marissa and said (if it was coherent it happened so fast idk what i said) “im going to change i’ll he right back” and so i ran down to the cabin and changed possibly the fastest i ever have and ran back up to get in line. on june 13, 2024 i was baptized and ive never been happier💕 by @07btaylor

legacy: the long-lasting impact of particular events that took place in a person’s life

camp legacy is just that. while yes that’s the name of it, the definition perfectly sums up what this camp is to me. i don’t think anyone would be able to grasp just how much this place means unless they’ve lived it themselves, like i’ve gotten the pleasure of doing over the last 12 years. after spending 11 summers here it adds up to *roughly:7 fall retreats, 12 camps, and 78 nights (give or take) that i’ve slept in these bunks. it’s where i’ve met some of my best friends, got saved, baptized, spoke in tongues for the first time, called into ministry, lost my voice 15+ times, played a million rounds of signs, sat in a conference room laughing till my stomach hurt at 3 am, pulled all nighters, sat on the bench outside of room 203 at midnight just to have some quiet and so much more that i can’t begin to tell you everything about it. Camp Legacy…I would say you will be forever missed, but I won’t stop working this camp until I physically can’t anymore. two more weeks to go🤍 taken in The Legacy Retreat Center by @07btaylor

west hall has been home for as long as i can remember. from watching my older sister at softball games and sitting at football games in 2017 dreaming of the day i got to be on that sideline. now watching my two best friend’s softball games and finally cheering in the hot gates and silverdome myself. west hall will always hold so many incredible memories and people, inspired so many dreams, and instilled so many core values in me. without west hall i don’t know that i would be the person i am today. i may officially be a tiger now but as always go spartans🥹
