Trivia:
A very close cousin of the Giant Pandas, Red Pandas, found in eastern Himalayas and south-western China, are extremely endangered animals with total estimated population of less than 10,000 individuals in the wild.
Poaching, human animal conflicts, global warming and habitat destruction are primary reasons for decline in numbers of Red Panda species.
Conservation efforts are on in range countries of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and China.

From the depths of the shadowed jungle, the tiger emerges like a living flame - silent, deliberate and unmistakably sovereign. Sunbeams tear through the canopy like celestial spotlights igniting the mist-filled air and casting an otherworldly glow across the forest path. Light rays strike its body in flashes of gold that turn each step into a silent thunderclap.

In this dance of brilliance and darkness, the tiger's stripes shimmer like an ancient war paint, its eyes burn with ferocity, and its presence command the very breath of the jungle. Each step feels like a moment suspended in time, as if the wild itself has parted to reveal its most formidable guardian.

Its not a creature you witness..its a force you survive.

In that moment, the forest holds its breath, and even time kneels..before this raw, unstoppable power - nature's untamed majesty.

A P E

Hoolock Gibbons are the only apes found in India.

The Western Hoolock Gibbons found in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, and Tripura are the second largest Gibbons after Siamang.

Monogamous in nature, these tree-dwelling Gibbons have seperate colours for their gender - makes are black while the females are brown.

They like to sleep late and wake up late too (may be, I'm one of their long lost friends ! 😅 ).

A not so nice record shot. Might thave to go back and spend some time to get to know them a bit more !!

A P O E M U N D E R T H E B L U E S K Y

Underneath a sky impossibly blue,
where silence wears a coat of white,
A frozen valley holds its breath
between the morning and the light. 🌄

A lake lies half-awake below,
its edges sleeping under snow;
One half remembers winter's grip,
one half lets the waters flow. 🏞️

The mountains stand like ancient thoughts,
their peaks lost somewhere in the blue;
They do not ask where we are go,
Perhaps they know what journeys do. 🗻

I came here not to conquer distance,
nor to leave a footprint behind,
But to lose the roads I once knew
and find another road in my mind. 🚶

For every traveller learns, someday,
that destinations are only signs;
The real journey is what changes
between the leaving and arriving times. ☯️

And you..if you were here with me..
I would not speak of love at all.
I would let the wind say everything,
and watch the snowflakes gently fall. ❄️

For love is not a place we reach,
nor something we can ever own;
It's the warmth we leave behind
in hearts that once were unknown. 💓

Perhaps the lake has understood:
to hold the sky, it must stay still.
Perhaps we too must pause sometimes

Sitting above the jungle - like a silent executioner - a Grey-headed Fish-Eagle watches every ripple, every shadow, every careless movement below.

One talon grips the branch with iron resolve. The other - hidden - poised to strike that can turn life into silence within a heartbeat.

The forest breathes in silence.

P A R E N T I N G
Isn't easy.

As I spent almost 3 hours documenting the bond between a Red-vented Bulbul and it's chicks, I realised they are no different than humans.
One simply doesn't become a parent by giving birth. A true parent protects, provides, nourishes, teaches, disciplines, nurtures and guides to take on as well as navigate through challenges the world throughs at you.

The series of photographs were taken right beside a busy road in a bustling Indian metropolitan, remnants of which is visible in the nest built with twigs, leafs and whatever was available to the little bird to build a home for its next generation, including plastic waste. Can we do better by not throwing plastics but only disposing them in designated waste bins?

Disregarding the noise and threats from predators and large birds such as Black Kites, owls and cats, the Bulbul kept on pushing it's little wings to their limits...to nourish its young ones. The chicks would tuck in safe inside the nest, below visible range, when the Bulbul was gone but would miraculously know it's parent was near and start searching even when the Bulbul was sitting far off at a branch searching for food for its children.

Remarkable how humans behave the same way.

Mother Nature..connects us all.

P.S.: The shots were taken from a safe distance from the nest with great care taken not to disturb the natural surrounding. No natural safety measure such as leaves, twigs, branches etc around the nest were touched or disturbed, no artificial or man made surrounding protecting the nest were disturbed or touched either.
The shots were taken only at angles which provided natural visibility of the nesting area.
