We help Jewish women have more fun. #100funthings
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It isn't about me. It isn't about you. It's about us. It's about the bigger picture. It's about the music we make when we come together and have a good time. Jewish women deserve more. More friendship. More fun. More dancing. More *us*. Because Jewish women hold up the world. And @100funthings holds up Jewish women. Lordy, what a pack of crazy DJ's we had that night. DJ Tomi @djtomi.to_mi lit up the freakin' house. What an artist. Feels like a journey with her. Takes you by the hand and by the time you're done it's been every single step of the way up the heaven and all the way back down to earth again. So incredible. She's the kind of DJ who earns your trust. You just let yourself go. Nothing like it. DJ Tair Emuna @dj_tair_emuna was rockin' the intro making it *irresistible* to get on the dancefloor. I could not hold back the way she hit me with the drop time after time, again and again. Girl. And closing it out midway with DJ Till @dj_till1 getting the whole house popping and locking like it's going out of style, throwing hits like she's taking names. What a night. Left me feeling juiced up and capable, and the memories keep playing on loop with this silly, happy smile rising to my face. What can I say? Jewish girls know how to party. You brought the game and we had it made. Until next time. ๐Ÿ˜‰ See you there, bells on, eyes open, big hearts. Music loud, loud, loud. Just keep on dancing. taken in ืžื•ืกืœืœื” Muslala by @100funthings

About Thursday night... Listen. A lot of folks claim to like Jewish unity. What that usually means is, "I like everyone except 'them'." Whoever 'they' are: Jews who don't see the world the way you do, Jews who make you uncomfortable, Jews you wouldn't invite to your party. That's the thing, though. We throw parties for Jewish women. All Jewish women. Because when we say we like Jewish unity, we ain't talking smack. We love getting everybody in a room together, turning down the lights, turning up the volume, and discovering what happens when you let Jewish women let loose. Because what happens is a lot of joy. A lot of real unity - young and old, secular and religious, left and right, all dancing together. We remember that at the end of the day (and the beginning and the middle) we are one nation with one heart. And we celebrate together. We celebrate each other. We are one nation with a very full heart this year when finally, after so many years, our family have finally all come home from Hamas torture tunnels and we watch their exquisite, shining faces smiling every day. We watch our family heal. We give thanks to the Almighty, Whom we begged for mercy since the shock and horror of October Seventh over two unbearable years ago. We recognize that the true mercy, the gift we never want to lose again, is the way tragedy brought us together and reminded us who we are. We dance together because despite our external differences, inside we are one. And it doesn't have to take tragedy to create Jewish unity. Sometimes what it takes is a rocking dance party. The biggest, juiciest, deepest thank-you to every gorgeous girl and lady who lit up that dance floor on the 5th night of Chanuka. You were on fire. Together we made the brightest light. And thanks to @nefeshbnefesh, @jlmmodel, @ronellevate, @chayadancemovement, the Jerusalem Intercultural Center, and @art_shelter_gallery for making it happen. What a joy and an honor. Keep shining, ladies. Rock on and keep shining. We will never let this light go. #happyhanukkah #jewishwomenrock #100funthings taken in Nefesh B'Nefesh by @100funthings

My brother's back in Gaza serving as a combat medic for the fourth time since 10/7. I had a breast ultrasound today and the thing they're keeping an eye on, they're still keeping an eye on. Had a lil' romp in the woods and not in a fun way with someone I love lately. The kids were kinda nuts after the sugar high of Purim and one got in trouble at school. Plus other stuff. (Darn other stuff.) So mama took herself out for Pad Thai. #selflove #selfcompassion #tiredmom #chinesefood #100funthings by @100funthings

The Open Mic ๐ŸŽค last night was standing room only. Some fifty women came to make music, lay down beats, do comedy, make us laugh, make us cry, and feel connected. I told the crowd, "We really undervalue our own creativity and you know how you can tell? Because you know how other women's creativity makes you feel. Just think of how it feels to see the other women here singing, performing, anything. The way it makes the oomph, that something, inside you. That feeling? That's how you make us feel." Raw. Real. Regal. So, so beautiful. We opened our hearts and eyes and throats to express and to embrace, to show and to tell and to cheer and to holler up one another. The original lyrics of October Rain sung by an opera singer. Jethro Tull as background beats for classical flute. Protest poetry spitting spoken word like glass and bullets shining in the rain of our tears. My first baby steps towards standup comedy! They laughed! I was terrified so later on I sung II Most Wanted by Beyonce and Miley Cyrus and everybody went "oooohhh..." and I felt much more in my comfort zone. ๐Ÿ˜† A raw rendering of the song Speechless by a woman who has so deeply found her voice. Some real standup by a real comedian who has previously only performed online. This was her live debut! Lani and Leah Sarah breaking all of our hearts with their unbelievable voices singing their own original, unfiltered songs. The guitars. The violin. The stomping and clapping and snapping. The empty bottle of Merlot next to the coffee urn in the deliciously old-timey kitchen to be tossed in the trash at the end of the night. The list of women who signed up at the door to perform was *four pages long* and we cheered every one. We ran late, until 11. So worth it. Especially for my own rockstar performance of All Because of You by U2 for a few close friends who stuck around after everyone else went home. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽค๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿฝ Here's how people felt: "This was totally unique." "This filled me up." "I need to connect with more women like this!" Yes we do, darlin'. The Purim party is up next. Let's keep dancing. #100funthings #openmic #womeninspiringwomen #creativityforall #amyisraelchai taken in Studio of Her Own- ืกื˜ื•ื“ื™ื• ืžืฉืœืš by @100funthings
