Tonight is my final night as a California resident. I can’t believe I’ve been here 21 years. How time flies, but deep down I know it’s time to go along with the many people I’ve known who left before me. I’ve truly had the time of my life, for sure, having met so many interesting people and attending events I never imagined I’d be a part of. I’m not rich or famous, but my heart is full. My life here has been the biggest roller coaster, from watching my old love lose her life to illness, later finding my soul mate, marrying her, witnessing the birth of my first child, etc. Truly, thank you LA. It’s been one hell of a ride. taken in Burbank, California by @11thfret

Trigger warning, but factual nonetheless. Fight me. You’ll lose.

Amidst all the Strats, Teles, Les Paul’s, 335’s and so many others I’ve owned, this late 80’s Epiphone Sheraton Ⅱ is the one I always come back to. I’ve owned it since I was 16 years old, having bought it used from a friend’s Dad in 1996. Many many miles have been put on it and countless mods. Nothing has ever felt as good in the hand, or sounded nearly as good.

…What’s your go to, old faithful?

When these old late 80’s Epiphone Sheraton Ⅱ’s make it damn near impossible to install a new wiring harness, you slowly and patiently hit it with a chisel in the bridge pickup cavity.

I got my hands on a 2008 Fender Classic Series ‘72 Telecaster Deluxe with some bad pickups and that weird choice of 250K Fender made. Now it is loaded with Fender CuNiFe Wide Range Humbucker reissues, raw nickel covers, brushed titanium saddles, a 1-Meg harness, and this guard mod I created with paisley upholstery vinyl atop my old, now heavily sanded blackguard. That was tricky, to say the least. It took a lot of patience and time to wrap it correctly. I’m actually quite pleased with the end result. Now to see if it holds up in the long run. Is it bright sounding? Absolutely! But I have .015uf pots in there for some manageable tone roll off. I honestly love it.

Upon heading up to the Yamaha’s exhibit at NAMM, we bumped into my friend Michael “Fish” Herring, commonly known for being Christina Aguilera’s main guitarist, for a little interview from Walker. .

This gentle giant named Jared James Nichols sits down with Walker to explain why he’s a famous YouTuber (Walker had no idea who he was going in, which made this little interview all the better).

Let’s get some Walker encouragement going!

This time through, on one of Walker’s first interviews ever, he asks iconic guitar player Chris Buck (@chrisbuckguitar) of @thecardinalblack a hard hitting question. Although Walker pulled a little bit of a Billy Corgan by turning this interview onto himself. But that’s okay, Walker has never done this sort of thing before.

Let’s get some Walker encouragement going!

NAMM 2026 was nothing short of loud and overwhelming this year. But these two, Carlos and Logan Ferreira, owners of Rock-In-Tune, made the visit worthwhile. My wife, who is not even a musician, loves these two as well. Such cool people with a revolutionary product. Seriously Floyd Rose players, their Mistress double locking system is worth every penny. Absolutely incredible stuff.

At #NAMM2026, Walker really wanted to be part of my YouTube channel and looked to do some interviews. Lo and behold, Walker finds Tyler Larson of @musiciswin to ask him some of the deepest questions of his career! Another round of Gibson headstock shapes per popular request. Which ones am I missing this time? Which one is your favorite?
