Official Statement from Authority Zero

Yesterday, while traveling from Panama to Costa Rica during our Latin American tour with No Fun At All, we experienced the magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Panama.

As we were preparing to depart, Tocumen International Airport began shaking and all flights were deplaned. Passengers were evacuated onto the tarmac while officials responded to the earthquake and continuing tremors. What followed was an intense and surreal 14 hours of evacuations, delays, and uncertainty.

Through it all, we witnessed an incredible sense of humanity. Travelers from around the world worked together to shade and support children, elderly passengers, people with disabilities, and anyone who needed help. We are deeply grateful to the airport personnel, emergency officials, and fellow travelers who did everything they could to keep people safe and in good spirits.

We eventually reached Costa Rica early the following morning, but the circumstances made it impossible for us to perform our scheduled show. We were also informed that our instruments and luggage remained in Panama.

We are now traveling to Mexico and doing everything possible to close out the tour with borrowed equipment. Most importantly, all of us are safe. We’re grateful to still be here, and our hearts are with everyone affected by the earthquake and its aftermath.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered support.
