POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2026 has definitely been the most inconsistent year of my fitness journey. Maybe it was the break I needed after 20+ powerlifting meets, 4 Muay Thai fights, and 1 MMA fight. Since the beginning of this run, I’ve always had put an immense amount of pressure on myself. I felt like if I was going to train, I needed to compete! I never really gave myself the freedom to just simply train. So when there wasn’t any upcoming competition, I didn’t have the same drive to step into the gym. Training was always tied to an end goal and the pressure to perform. Maybe this year was a reminder that fitness doesn’t always have to be about preparing for the next competition. Maybe I needed to learn that I can still put myself first without always having something to prove. To also grow as a person, not just an athlete.
