Five went to war. Three came home with the W, two gained experience — all leveled up.
Nothing but respect for my team stepping into their first novice fights last Saturday. The work shows. The heart shows.
Proud of you all. BBMT. Always forward.

Got to do a custom bend industrial on an old friend of mine. @123cuts thanks for coming in today little bro. He didn’t have proper anatomy for a traditional industrial so we decided to do a custom bend. #industrialpiercing #earpiercing #piercing #piercings #bodypiercings #bodypiercing #bodymods #bodymodification #custom #customized #fauxindustrial #appmember #safepiercing #stockton #209 #lostdreamstattooandpiercing #mushroomproteam

I know we all cringe looking at our old videos but it is evidence of how much we’ve transformed and improved since.

I remember how I felt at each meet and what I was going through in life.

I had a lot of instability for most of my life and frequently burned out.

I’m the only daughter of immigrant parents.

I was only ever taught to work hard and so I functioned with a 0-100 mindset for a long time.

It wasn’t until I started dialing in on my recovery and letting go of a lot of things, places and people that my mental health took a turn for the better and everything else started going up.

I believe that true strength is more than just physical - it’s showing up time and time again even when it feels like the needle isn’t budging forward.

Allow me to reintroduce myself…

My name is Richelle Ledesma.

I wear many hats, have many talents and skills, but this video best shows the things I truly value:

✨ Creativity
✨ Positive influence
✨ Movement
✨ Habits
✨ Education
✨ Community
✨ Being human

I found a deep purpose in helping others when I pursued entrepreneurship.

Thank you to everyone I’ve encountered who has helped me grow further as a small business owner and a person.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.
Remember to refill yours. ☕️

Lucy first reached out with little-to-no lifting experience.
She gravitated towards the powerlifting community then made the decision to hire a coach.

The in-person sessions we had were invaluable to her early experiences because of real-time instructions during our hour-long sessions.

I hosted a mock meet for her and other clients to test their lifts in a community setting.
The intention was to build even more confidence and show a glimpse of what a powerlifting meet would be like.

When I started competing, I was definitely overwhelmed and had no idea what to expect so I make sure that my clients now are prepared mentally and physically.

Lucy did amazing at the mock meet in May 2023 and even surprised herself with how strong she had gotten only after about 5 months.

She squatted 165 lb, benched 85 lb, and deadlifted 242 lb.

Mentally, her confidence shot up especially after being surrounded by a community of supportive like-minded athletes.

✨ Athlete Spotlight ✨

When Angela and I started working together, initially, she wanted to get stronger and also address a shoulder injury.

We collaborated with a physical therapist, @strengthathleterehab, to have a better understanding if her shoulder injury was something we can train with.

Jeff found the injury to be frozen shoulder.
This meant we were able to still train but while respecting the range of motion, which was temperamental each week.

She was also working with another physical therapist through insurance for more rehab specific work.

Bench was out of the question when it was at its worse and we didn’t incorporate until many months later.

We stayed consistent and looked for small wins in every session.

It’s truly amazing how strong she got while battling a chronic shoulder injury and never having weight-lifting experience prior.

First Mock Meet ✨
(Never competed)
BW: 148 lb
Squat 80 kg / 176 lb
Bench 43.5 kg / 96 lb
Deadlift 117.5 kg / 259 lb
