sometimes the photo you nearly didn’t take is the one you remember

maybe you almost missed the light
almost put the camera away
almost decided the moment wasn’t worth photographing

and then you took the photo

that’s the beauty of photography
— it teaches us to notice

this month, 21 photographers explored photos we almost didn’t take, from nature and landscapes to candid portraits, eclipses and northern lights

and honestly, it feels like a pretty good metaphor for midlife reinvention

sometimes you don’t need a completely new life

you just need to stop telling yourself it’s too late to try

pick up the camera
follow your curiosity
see what happens
