💧 Who We Are 1DROP is a collective of underrepresented developers working to build more housing, create opportunity, and strengthen communities across the Puget Sound. Less than 1% of developers are people of color. Through mentorship, collaboration, shared resources, and advocacy, we're helping aspiring, emerging, and established developers navigate the path to development and grow their impact. Today, 1DROP members have 1,400+ homes active in the development pipeline, representing projects at every stage—from early planning to construction and delivery. Swipe through to learn more about who we are, why we exist, and what we're building together. 💧🏘️ #1DROP #BuildingHomesForGood #BIPOCDevelopers by @1drophomes

POV: 1DROP at Housing Washington 2026 🎥✨ Last week in Spokane, our collective brought real development realities, ground-level data, and community solutions to the state’s primary housing conference. 🏘️ Day 1 at Housing Washington 2026! We had a great start in Spokane yesterday, joining housing leaders, developers, and advocates working to advance affordable housing across Washington. Convened by the @wa_housing_finance in partnership with the @wastatecommerce and the @wahousingalliance, Housing WA brings together housing professionals to exchange ideas, strengthen connections, and explore solutions that expand access to housing and strengthen communities. We’re glad to be part of this gathering and to support efforts to create more opportunities for BIPOC developers and advance equitable housing. We’re back for Day 2 today and look forward to more conversations and connections through tomorrow! 🤝 #HousingWA2026 #1DROP #AffordableHousing #RealEstateDevelopment by @1drophomes
What if underrepresented developers built 1% of all housing needed in the Pacific Northwest? 💡 That simple, transformative question is the inspiration behind 1DROP. In Episode 6 of The Bellevue Lending Podcast, 1DROP Co-Founder @dominiqueremy sat down with @davishsubellevue to discuss how doubling our region's developer representation isn't about dividing the pie—it’s about additive growth, shared knowledge, and rising together. From active mentorship and design support to building a collective pipeline of over 1,500 units across 40+ members, 1DROP is creating space for underrepresented developers to ask questions, collaborate, and scale with confidence. "Rising tides lift all ships" isn't just a saying here—it’s how we build. 🎧 Listen to the full conversation on The Bellevue Lending Podcast on Spotify. #BellevueLending #HousingEquity #RealEstateDevelopment #UnderrepresentedDevelopers by @1drophomes

From breaking ground to going vertical, through all the challenges, milestones, and everything in between, we’ve finally made it to this moment! Attainable homeownership is officially open in Tacoma’s Hilltop. 🔑 1DROP member @kiara.dee and @builtby3dhomes have officially completed and listed 17th Street Homes—bringing brand-new townhomes and single-family residences to the neighborhood. What started as an effort to revive an underutilized site has turned into quality, long-term housing built with design, development, and dignity at its core. Created to help local families build equity right where they live, this flagship development is a powerful example of what happens when local leadership meets intentional capital, mentorship, and collective support. Huge congratulations to Kiara Daniels, the 3D Homes team, and all the dedicated partners who helped bring this flagship project across the finish line! ✨ Building Homes for Good. 🔗 Head to the link in our bio to read the full story, watch the project feature, and access available listings! #1DROP #3DHomes #TacomaRealEstate #Hilltop #AttainableHousing by @1drophomes
Meet Keenan Grayson. 👋🏾 As 1DROP’s Senior Program Manager, Keenan brings a deep commitment to equity, access, and creating meaningful pathways to wealth through real estate development. For Keenan, building homes for good means building stronger communities—creating opportunities, supporting local workers, strengthening schools and services, and helping shape a future that the next generation can thrive in. One of his biggest takeaways since joining 1DROP? The power of collaboration. Because tackling something as monumental as the housing crisis takes collective knowledge, shared effort, and a community moving forward together. And when he’s not working to move housing forward? You’ll probably find Keenan curating one of his 75+ Spotify playlists. 🎶 Get to know Keenan in our latest Meet the 1DROP Staff reel. 🎥 #1DROP #BuildingHomesForGood #HousingEquity #Tacoma by @1drophomes
🔨 TBT to a big milestone for 1DROP member Jerrel Jones! On August 20, Jerrel and the community gathered on Tacoma’s 48th Street to celebrate the groundbreaking of his new Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (DADU). 🏡 This is Jerrel’s third real estate project in three years, and another step in his journey from building financial literacy to building real estate. Through Grind Time Services and Credit Revolution Education, Jerrel continues to turn his own experience into opportunities for others — while showing what grassroots development and local ownership can look like in action. 💬 "I created Credit Revolution Education because I understand the struggle from the inside out... But I also know what it feels like to turn that around completely. And I know that if I could do it—from zero credit, from nothing—then you can too." We’re proud to celebrate Jerrel, his team, and everyone who helped bring this project to the ground. 🤝🏾 We’ll be following along as the 48th Street DADU takes shape! 🚧 🔗 Find the news link in our bio to learn more. #1DROP #BIPOCDevelopers #RealEstateDevelopment #DADU #CreditRevolutionEducation #GrindTimeServices by @1drophomes
Meet Teairrau Mason 👋🏾 Born and raised in Tacoma, Teairrau serves as 1DROP’s Operations & Compliance Manager, bringing experience in housing and nonprofit organizations to the work. For Teairrau, working at 1DROP is closely connected to her personal goals and her belief in the power of building. One of the biggest lessons she’s learned along the way? A challenge isn’t necessarily a roadblock — sometimes, it’s an invitation to think differently, get creative, and find another way forward. 🧩 Outside of 1DROP, Teairrau is also putting that entrepreneurial spirit to work with Travel Time Stories, a children’s app that turns a child’s daily adventures into a storybook they can enjoy at bedtime. 💡 Get to know Teairrau and the people behind the work at 1DROP. #1DROP #RealEstateDevelopment #HousingDevelopment #Tacoma by @1drophomes
