Alzheimer’s trials don’t fail because the drugs don’t work. They fail because the wrong patients are enrolled at the wrong stage of risk.

I’ve spent the past three years studying how Alzheimer’s risk factors interact and drive disease progression. ORION is the system I’m building to make sense of that complexity — integrating genetics, lifestyle, and biomarkers into a single, interpretable signal for early-stage trials.

Started with a question, ended with a company

Mind Space Diagnostic just ended the Gateway program with a Seed Investment and interest from NOLA bioInnovation center.

Mind Space Diagnostic was born from the same question that guided my research “ what if we could detect Alzheimer’s before symptoms even appear?” Now it’s more than a question, it’s a platform supported by data, mentors and a community that believe prevention is better than treatment.

Thank you Gateway Program for giving us structure, clarity and the fuel to go from concept to enterprise

Science is the torch of Justice.

Honored to represent XULA at the Annual NASEM Gulf Cost Conference, where I presented our research on how air pollution in the gulf coasts triggers the biological cascade that induces Alzheimer’s disease.

Exposing IPSC derived neurons and neuroglial cells to air pollutants that occupy Louisiana show the accumulation of oxidative stress, tau phosphorylation, and amyloid beta protien which are all hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease.

Our research challenges the notion that Alzheimer’s disease is purely genetic, exposing the toxic reality of environmental health disparities It is my hope that this research impacts future science and healthcare policy as it relates to environmental justice taken in National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine by @1flyymir
