Meet the newest member of the family. Little 3 month old Newfoundland Marley. The softest and fluffiest of fur. Never seen paws so massive and disproportionate on a pup; those, as well as ears, head and belly are still getting accustomed to gravity as he merrily flops around. As kids we often joked that Gavin would be the first to get married. A sweetheart, patient, considerate, an exceptional listener and extraordinarily empathetic. First class husband material. Surprisingly out of all The Boys he’s coming in last. But well played sir, the wait was worth it, Gig gets this best man’s 💯 approval. Wicked smaht, beautiful, sage, cultured and down to earth. We are all excited for your new unified life path. New home, young dog, child on the way, the semiannual international boys trips. Big fan of day touring new places with a knowledgeable guide and a group of enthusiastic old timers. Jorge Alvares of Portugal won the title of first European to open maritime trade with the Chinese in 1513. When him and crew landed on a peninsula near Canton they asked the locals where they stood. Well literally they were at the entrance of temple “A-Ma-Gau” (Bay of A-Ma) . And with that miscommunication Macau was named. From renting the land to claiming it as their own with superior firepower, it remained in the hands of Portugal until 1999. Now it is the casino of the world with revenue 7 times that of Las Vegas. The last image is of the Casino Lisboa. Stanley Ho once had a gambling monopoly in Macau until it eventually was broken up and all the western casino names were allowed in. So to remind all that he is still king he erected this stunning behemoth. From ashes to tycoon, his rise is just as stunning. taken in Macau by @1place1time

Was able to slip away from work a couple days to meet up with Brother Hao, Bebe and my godson Yoyo. Nanjing was one of the 4 historical capitals of China. In 1949 the capital was moved to Beijing. The Buddhist site is one of their holiest. In 2008 a parietal bone of The Buddha was unearthed and so this astounding relic chamber was constructed 60 meters/ 9 stories deep for pilgrimage. We ate our way through the city which is famed for its salted duck, offal duck soup and various dumplings. Finally we trekked around Purple Mountain, along The Sacred Path to the Ming Tombs where Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang is buried. This is the hero of China that went from peasant farmer to general that defeated the Mongol Emperor, to Emperor himself that brought back Han Chinese rule. It is believed to be the largest tomb structure but it remains untouched. As to not risk damage to the artifacts. taken in Nanjing, China by @1place1time

Scooted over to the seaside with the mom and wifey. Found the source direct from the boat 🦞 .. baked scallops, steamer clams, fish chowder, clam chowder and a lobstah. Proper meal. Took a lil’ stroll and grabbed a few lobster rolls for good measure before we headed back into the mountains. Mission accomplished ✅ taken in York, Maine by @1place1time

Rippin’ around Aruba with the fahkin’ boys 🤌🏼 Bit of diving to watch the sea turtles chow down seaweed. Naming our newly discovered marine life. Off-roading the desert terrain in search of some cliffs to jump off. Feasting like kings and drinking like fish. Bobbing around offshore for hours watching the sun set into the sea. “One Happy Island” indeed. Barely got off it at the end of it all. Always a blast and pleasure reuniting with this team.
Never was a fan of running and have yet to train. But I come for the good company, sights, and adventures. What I find most appealing about running these events is the interesting people you meet and the sense of accomplishment after finishing. And walking like a penguin the following days. It was an honor to run with these gazelles and the setting fantastic. As you walk through this city or others in Italy you are doing so within an open air museum. Brilliant and awe inspiring. This place gives me the chills. Awestruck…. It is 1979 and there are 30,000 people scattered across the land, rice paddies as far as the eye can see. Then leader Deng Xiaoping designated this land as China’s first Special Economic Zone; less communism, more free market. Here comes “China’s Silicon Valley”. The influx of people and the growth of this city has not been seen anywhere and at any point in human history. To date 18 million call this place home. Everyone from out of town and primarily younger. Home to behemoths like Tencent, BYD, Huawei, DJI etc. This city truly exists far in the future. All electric vehicles, robots serving you, paying with facial scan or QR code, drone delivery, zero crime (any case is solved within hours due to camera systems). It is so green, clean, vibrant, modern and inspiring. Re-mark-able. taken in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China by @1place1time
