Day 1 recap of Northern Ireland Men's teams at the @cevsca Beach Volleyball Zonal Tour in Ayr, Scotland.

McCaughern/Dally are the 2nd seeds of the tournament which granted them a bye for their first match, they started their tournament against Scotland with an 0-2 loss. This qualifies them for the round of 12 today, where they'll face the winner of Scotland vs Iceland at 1:40pm.

Livingstone/Workman started with a good 2-0 win in the morning vs Scotland then fell 0-2 to another Scottish team to complete their group matches. They are also through to the round of 12 today where they'll play against another Scottish team at 12:50.

🎙️ MEET THE PORTUGAL COACHES | JONNY WORKMAN

Tell us about your career: “Playing close to 20 years and coaching for the last 12 or so. I’ve been privileged to represent Northern Ireland at a number of events and over the summer you’ll probably find me wherever the UKBT is.
I’ve spent the last 6 months in Australia extending the beach season year round competing in their events, but had to come back in time for Deep Dish Portugal Camp!”

Any words of advice? : “Oranges are a great source of vitamin C and remember to stay hydrated!”

Look forward to getting coached by our incredible coaches in Portugal 🙌
