🚨 1TRIBE NETWORK STATEMENT 🚨

We strongly condemn the horrific and barbaric knife attack that recently took place in Belfast.

Violence has no place in our communities. An attack on one person is an attack on all of us. This is not about race, nationality, religion, or background. It is about right and wrong. It is about humanity.

We call for justice to be served through the proper legal process, and we urge everyone to remain calm and united. Division only strengthens evil; unity strengthens communities.

Today, we stand with the victim, his family, and all those affected by this terrible act. We also call on community leaders, parents, young people, and residents to speak with one voice against violence, hatred, and criminal behaviour.

Injustice to one is injustice to all.
Crime against one is a crime against all.

Together, let us choose peace over violence, unity over division, and hope over fear.

Today, we remember Qayyum Balogun, a young life taken far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and everyone affected by this tragic loss.

At 1Tribe Network, we stand united in saying: Enough is Enough. Knife Crime Steals Futures.

Knife crime leaves lasting scars on families, friends, and entire communities. It fuels fear, trauma, anxiety, grief, and mental health challenges that can impact generations. Every life lost is a future cut short, a family forever changed, and a community left to heal.

We believe that safer communities are built through unity, respect, opportunity, and support for our young people. Together, we must challenge violence, promote positive choices, and create environments where every young person can thrive.

We encourage anyone with information relating to incidents of violence to cooperate with the relevant authorities. Speaking up can help save lives.

Let us honour Qayyum’s memory by working together to build stronger, safer communities for all.

We are deeply saddened by the death of Mr. Yves Sakila following the incident in Dublin city centre. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and the wider Congolese and Black community during this painful time.

This tragedy is not just about one life lost — it reflects deeper issues around racism, accountability, trauma, and the mental wellbeing of Black men in our communities. We must continue to stand together, speak up, and push for justice, healing, and meaningful change.
