200% MEXA: EL SERENO EDITION 2026 // EDICIÓN EL SERENO 2026

In a month’s time, the 200% MEXA art exhibition arrives to the Eastside Café (@eastsidecafela), located in El Sereno, in Northeast Los Angeles, Saturday, June 20th. It will be a one day event and will go from 4 pm - 8 pm. We are very much grateful to the Eastside Café committee and team for allowing us into this very special echo space

Hope to see you all there! And don’t forget — the exhibition will also be featuring at Pacoima City Hall from June 1st through the 12th (Monday through Friday)

En un mes para ser preciso, la exposición de arte “200% MEXA” llegará al Eastside Café (@eastsidecafela) ubicado en el vecindario de El Sereno, en el noreste de Los Ángeles, California, y esto para el día sábado, 20 de junio. Será un evento de un día y las horas serán de 4 pm - 8 pm (de las 16 a las 20 hrs). Estamos muy agradecidos con el comité y equipo del Eastside Café por permitirnos el uso de este espacio cultural tan especial

200% MEXA: PACOIMA EDITION 2026 // EDICIÓN PACOIMA 2026

The first chapter to 200% MEXA is soon approaching. The exhibition will be taking place at Pacoima City Hall from June 1st through the 12th (not counting weekends) and the hours will be from 11 am to 4 pm. We are grateful towards Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez’s office in District 7 of Los Angeles for allowing us to use the space

Hope to see you there! And don’t forget — the exhibition will also be coming to the Eastside Café in El Sereno on Saturday, June 20th!

La exposición se dará en el Pacoima City Hall del 1 al 12 de junio (sin contar fines de semana) y las horas serán de 11 am a 4 pm (de las 11 a las 16 hrs). Estamos agradecidos con la oficina de la concejala Mónica Rodríguez en el distrito 7 de Los Ángeles por dejarnos usar el espacio

Cómo era de esperarse, la exposición “300% MEXA” contará con todos los participantes de la exposición “200% MEXA: 100% mexicano, 100% americano” ya que se incluirán las obras que formaron parte de aquella colección. Con esto, se expande la internacionalización de la exposición, ya su vez, se preserva la base que inspiró este nuevo proyecto. Todas las obras serán impresas por La Mera A. C., pero no estarán a la venta. Si usted participó en “200% MEXA” pero desea NO participar en este nuevo capítulo, le pedimos de favor que nos contacte por mensaje directo. Les agradecemos por su atención y por su participación.

As expected, the “300% MEXA” exhibition will feature all the participants from the “200% MEXA: 100% mexicano, 100% americano” exhibition, with the original collection now being included. This will expand the international reach of the exhibition while preserving the very project that inspired this new installment. All works will be printed by La Mera A. Corriente Indómita
Creada para la exposición “200% Mexa”, esta obra fusiona la iconografía de la lucha libre mexicana con la estética del grabado japonés Ukiyo-e. A través del simbolismo de la ola, represento la incansable lucha por cruzar el río Bravo. El luchador, con tatuajes de tipografía chicana, encarna la resiliencia y la dualidad de quienes habitan entre dos mundos. Una metáfora visual sobre la migración: un viaje peligroso enfrentado con la fuerza, el honor y la máscara de un guerrero que jamás se rinde.

Created for the “200% Mexa” exhibition, this piece fuses Mexican lucha libre iconography with the aesthetics of traditional Japanese Ukiyo-e printmaking. Through the symbolism of the wave, I represent the relentless struggle of crossing the Rio Grande. The fighter, adorned with Chicano-style typography tattoos, embodies the resilience and duality of those who inhabit two worlds. A visual metaphor for migration: a perilous journey faced with the strength, honor, and mask of a warrior who never surrenders. by @200xcientomexa
